While trying to walk to speed up her labor, Mary reminds Gary that they need to get to the mind shaft tomorrow. Ray announces he has pizza. She tells him that she appreciates what he is doing for them but he can shove the pizza up his arse. The nurse enters with IV antibiotics. Emma plays “Here Comes The Sun” by the Beatles. Mary tells her that George Harrison wrote it. Gary claims Lisa played it for Emma before she was born. Later, Dr. Stenning (Will Hickey) urges Gary and Mary to have a C-section because she has been in labor for 36 hours now. He says the surgery takes about 45 minutes. Claiming his father works in a mine shaft, Gary asks how soon before they can take the baby there. Believing he is confused from lack of sleep, Stenning suggests waiting until after the birth to discuss it. Emma plays “Lithium” by Nirvana. Mary assures Emma that David would have loved her.

While Emma detains Nurse Jen with questions, Gary takes Mary out in a wheelchair. Stenning alerts Jen that Mary is missing. Gary pushes Mary into the elevator. At the lobby, Detective Kate Cross (Rachael Blake) and Detective Robert Pattinson (Justin Rosniak) ask for Mary’s room number. They enter the elevator as Gary rolls Mary into the lobby. When Stenning yells at them, Gary pushes someone wearing a bear costume into a display case, shattering the glass. Ray and Sarah follow them to the parking lot where they witness Mary turning into a wolf. They steal an ambulance. Kate calls the stolen ambulance into dispatch. Ray speeds through a construction zone. Mary voices concern over there being no chickens for her to eat in the basement. Gary assures her that she will not eat their baby. A homeless man (Dan Wyllie) watches as the ambulance races down a congested street. Emma plays “Go With The Flow” by Queens. Mary gives Gary her wedding ring before fully transitioning into a wolf.

Upon arriving home, Sarah, Ray, Emma, and Josh get Wolf Mary (Andrew Crawford) into the house. Gary locks her inside the safe room. Looking through the peephole, he announces the baby is a wolf. The baby howls. He says Mary is too weak to care for the baby. Inside the basement, Gary sings “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Crowded House. Picking up the baby wolf, he places it next to Mary. He reminds her of what he said about her not eating them. Emma, Sarah, and Ray observe through the peephole. The police pull up outside with only the pig to observe the flurry of activity. The episode ends.

Wolf Like Me Review

The episode was somewhat of a disappointment. Too much screen time is wasted on fluff, making the ending feel rushed. It would have been nice to see Mary interact with her cub. At least, Sarah and Ray are now part of the pack. The episode deserves a 6.3. Get more Wolf Like Me recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by donating.
