Stella stops at Ronnie’s where she meets Remy (Johann Myers). They discuss his Tinder match, The King’s Head landlady.

Paul Tomlinson (Perry Fitzpatrick) and Stella listen to Charles’ recording. Charles informs them that he has no intention of asking for their forgiveness. After apologizing for what he did to their daughter, Maisy Tomlinson (Justine More), Charles suggests a meeting could be beneficial for them all. Paul and Stella have sex. They put on their clothes just in time for Meera Chopra (Krupa Pattani) to arrive home.

Stella tells Bobbi Carter (Andrea Lowe) to close the scheme because she and Paul refuse to meet with Charles. She asks her if they should go through with the meeting. Bobbi says as the intermediary, she cannot promise anything but most people discover a deeper understanding. Stella reminds her of Charles’ violent past before he encountered her Maisy. Bobbi suggests a face-to-face meeting with Charles could change her life because it works 85% of the time. Stella asks if she ever lost a child. Bobbi says her brother, Darrell was murdered by a guy after opening a bottle of Lambrini for his girlfriend. Stella asks if she met Darrell’s killer. Bobbi admits to finding forgiveness after taking part in the scheme.

Jessie Cole (Dorothy Atkinson) tells Stella that she’s seeing Kelvin (Ezra Faroque Khan). She suggests meeting Charles may save her and Paul’s relationship even though she can’t forgive him. He asks if she took the morning-after pill because he can’t afford to mess up his relationship with Meera. She says yes before congratulating them.

Stella leaves Bobbi a message to say she’ll meet with Charles.

Bobbi asks Stella if she wants Jessie or Paul there when she meets Charles. She assures her that Paul’s excluding himself from the scheme. Bobbi says it’s just the first meeting. Stella assures her that there will be no other meetings.

December 10, 2018, Bobbi and Stella go through security at the prison. When he asks if she’s cold, she doesn’t respond. Bobbi asks why he stole Stella’s vehicle. He admits to drinking a lot after being released from a three-month prison stint. He says her Range Rover would fetch a good price. Believing the home was unoccupied, he went for it. He claims to be deeply remorseful before suggesting she feels regret for leaving Maisy alone that night. Stella rushes out of the room.

Bobbi urges her to get the answers she came for before leaving. Stella agrees to continue. Bobbi tells Charles that Stella wants him to accept his responsibility and explain why he did it. Stella tells him that she came for the truth. Bobbi asks how he entered the Tomlinson home that night. He says after forcing the door open, he found her car keys when Maisy appeared. Stella tells him that she wants to hear him explain why he killed Maisy. He claims to have found her dead inside the home. She reminds him of his confession on the audio recording. He says the people who framed him are still out there. He grabs Stella while telling her about another missing Millfields girl, Cleo Dale.

Charles continues to profess his innocence and repeatedly says Cleo Dale while three guards remove him from the room. Bobbi apologizes to Stella for Charles’ refusal to accept responsibility for murdering Maisy. She informs her that Charles is no longer permitted to take part in the scheme. Stella demands she never contact her again.

Bobbi tells Charles that what he did to Stella is unforgivable. She says he’ll never understand the courage it takes to sit across from the individual who ruined their world. She admits to being against long prison sentences but hopes to see his sentence increased after he faked remorse.

Stella pulls up Cleo Dale’s photo on her phone. Jessie tells her that Cleo was at the stables and possibly came from a troubled home. Stella asks if Cleo and Maisy knew each other. Jessie claims they were friends before showing her a photo of the two girls. Stella questions why she never heard of Cleo. Jessie reminds her of how she never visited Millfields at the time.

Charles refuses to acknowledge his new cellmate, Jamal Aboushi (Callum Fuller).

Charles’ is on the phone. He promises to be taking care of it so they can be together soon.

Utilizing a mobile phone, Charles submits a post on the Nottingham Missing Teen Forum asking for information on Cleo.

Stella conducts a search for “Maisy Tomlinson and Cleo Dale.” She has a brief flashback of being at a party when a text alert from Maisy pops up on her phone. She returns home to find Charles hovering over Maisy’s body. Charles can be heard in the background proclaiming his innocence.

Stella stands on an overpass screaming.

Charles enters the prison visiting room to find Stella sitting at a table. He thanks her for coming back to see him when the episode comes to an end.

Without Sin Review

Let me start out by saying, the series won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. The enthralling, fascinating, and at times, gripping story made up for the lack of action and slow pace. The stupendous acting and gloomy setting sealed the deal.

The show is the perfect portrayal of the many families and friends of murder victims who lost it all. Paul tries to move on while Stella fears losing sight of what happened to her daughter. Bobbi utilizes her own tragedy to help the families and while difficult to believe, the killers find a resolution.

The episode deserves a 6.5. Get more Without Sin recaps here. Support Reel Mockery here and don’t forget to advertise with us.
