White Gold Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

At the start of the episode, Sam Swan (Linzey Cocker) prepares for work. She will be attending a seminar of sorts in hopes of getting new customers for her employer. Vincent (Ed Westwick) warns her about the pigs she will encounter. At the office, Joanne Scott (Rachel Shenton) encourages Brian (James Buckley) and Martin (Joe Thomas) to read research reports. They make a mockery of it. Brian and Martin go north in hopes of finding clients. They encounter Mick Murphy (Christopher Patrick Nolan). He buys lots of windows and a conservatory despite living in a tiny camper. When Barry (Steve Evets) arrives with the windows, Mick tells him that he’ll install them himself.

Sam speaks with Andrew (Jack Doolan) and Martin (Gerard Monaco) at the seminar. It is clear the Vincent was spot on. Brian convinces Tony (Nigel Lindsay) to hire him. Lavender hopes to track down Mick. Sam is introduced to Geoff Kemp (Dean Williamson). She makes a good impression on him. As for Geoff, he comes off as a pig. He fires her. Martin tries to get a job with Brian. He learns that Brian has already hired Ronnie Jr. (Theo Barklem-Biggs). Joanne lets Vincent know that she owns him now. She threatens to tell Sam about their encounter. Vincent visits Ronnie and tries to quit. Instead, Ronnie sends him on a trip to Malta with a bag full of money. Vincent decides to take the family there on vacation. Ronnie Jr. has landed Tony a big deal worth 50 grand. Martin gave him the lead. White Gold Review

White Gold is clever and stupid. It doesn’t take itself serious. However, it is still relevant. Despite the characters being mostly scumbags, there is a good chance that they remind you of someone in your life. That makes it a little sad to be honest. I enjoy the show, but I am sure a lot of people don’t. They might not like the cutting-edge humor. I liked the episode. It scores a 7.5 out of 10.
