When Calls The Heart Review

The opening episode of When Calls The Heart’s 10th season was good so it will most definitely satisfy long-time fans of the series. It does have a soap opera feel, but those who have stuck with the show through ten seasons know what is in store for them. The performances are good enough to bring some authenticity to the characters and their respective stories.

Anyone looking for historical accuracy will probably need to look elsewhere. Instead, When Calls The Heart is about the relationships and the characters getting through their difficulties together. The episode didn’t do a lot in terms of building any emotional connections, but it did build on numerous storylines that should work well in future episodes.

It’ll hopefully be possible to build a legitimate relationship with the characters as the series progresses. Overall, this was a decent episode that did enough to build interest for the rest of the season. It scores a 6 out of 10. Recaps of When Calls The Heart can be found on Reel Mockery here.
