Are you looking for a new television series to watch from the BBC? War and Peace is an upcoming British television drama, which will play out over 6 episodes. The series was written by Andrew Davies and is being directed by Tom Harper. Of course, it is an adaptation of the Russian novel, War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy. The television series was originally announced in February 18, 2013.
The drama will be air in the BBC in late 2015 and will begin airing in the United States in 2016. In Britain, the series will be aired on BBC One and will consist of 6 60-minute episodes. In the United States, viewers will need to sit through 8 45-minute episodes. American fans will be able to catch the series on A&E, History Channel and Lifetime, as it will be simulcast on all three networks.
So, what is the series about? Well, War and Peace revolves around 5 upscale aristocratic families and is set during Alexander I’s reign. It focuses on a love triangle between three individuals, Natasha Rostova, Pierre Bezukhov and Andrei Bolkonsky. The characters and their respective counterparts can be found below.

A selection of other actors and actress will also make appearances, including Rory Keenan, Emily Taaffe, Tuppence Middleton, Michael Epp, Chloe Pirrie, Kit Connor and Guillaume Faure. Gillian Anderson and Brian Cox will also be in the series.
As of now, no War and Peace trailer has been released. Still, with the cast lineup, the series is definitely a must see for me. I love James Norton and will certainly check it out, as soon as it is released. Will you be watching?
