Well, the new trailer for the Fear the Walking Dead Spin Off has been released. With the overwhelming popularity of The Walking Dead, there is no doubt that Fear the Walking Dead is going to get a lot of viewers initially, but will AMC and Robert Kirkman be able to maintain the viewership numbers? Will the show be able to draw in the type of numbers that TWD does? First, you’ll want to check out the Fear the Walking Dead trailer below.

 

 

First, you’re likely going to recognize Training Day’s Cliff Curtis. Who could forget him and his home boys that like to push each others crap in? Secondly, the zombies appear to be fairly identical to the original show. I am definitely interested in looking at the world from a different perspective and seeing how things came together, before Rick awoke from his coma.

The military arriving on the scene is interesting and exciting. Unfortunately, the trailer is filled with cliches. The angry kids, who hate their parents. The teacher, who seems to know more than everything else. A boy getting hit by a car. The whole thing slightly resembles a C level zombie flick from Syfy. Although it is difficult to tell from a short clip, it appears that the acting is going to be hit and miss.

At this point, it is too early to tell. The series is set to debut on August 23, 2015. Until then, who knows? Some aspects of the trailer look exciting, especially the swat and military personnel. The first season is going to be 6 episodes and a second season has already been approved. AMC is definitely setting their sights high and hoping hardcore TWD fans will latch on.

With the steady quality decline of TWD, perhaps this is exactly what the channel needs? Of course, the viewers aren’t going anywhere. So, will you be watching? Or is one Walking Dead series enough for you?
