The Durrells In Corfu Series 3 Episode 6

As the episode begins, we see that the family is suffering from a mosquito infestation. Margo (Daisy Waterstone) tries to come up with solutions, but her solutions are unreasonable. Louisa (Keeley Hawes) changes the subject to Gerald (Milo Parker). She explains that since they don’t have memories of Gerald, they’ll have to make them up. She wants to use them for Gerald’s birthday party. After the intro, Gerald looks at a woman in a book. Louisa disturbs him. Louisa finds Leslie (Callum Woodhouse) making something outside. It is a zip line. Leslie confirms that Daphne (Elli Tingou) will be attending the party. Larry (Josh O’Connor) works on his memories. Spiros (Alexis Georgoulis) arrives with drinks.

keeley hawes the durrellsGerald isn’t happy with the idea of the party. Louisa tries to cheer him up by bringing some animals inside. When the party begins, it is mostly adults. Gerald isn’t happy. Larry speaks with Florence (Lucy Black). He is introduced to Florence’s niece Nelly (Grace Hogg-Robinson). Louisa notices that Spiros seems awkward about something. He is miserable. Theo (Yorgos Karamihos) chats with Gerald. Before too long, the group starts bobbing for apples. Then, Leslie tells everyone about his zip line ride. Nobody is eager to give it a try. Daphne arrives. Leslie is happy to see her. Louisa tries to figure out why Spiros is moody. Sven (Ulric von der Esch) and Florence turn down Leslie’s offer. Lugaretzia (Anna Savva) tells Louisa that Spiros is sick and will not live.

lugaretzia the durrellsLeslie goes down the zip line. He crashes pretty hard. Louisa addresses the crowd. She begins speaking about Gerald. She immediately gets his birthday wrong. Gerald gets mad and lashes out. Louisa tries to smooth things over with him, but fails. Larry shows her Gerald’s writing. They’re really good. Spiros speaks with Gerald. He plays the guitar for Gerald. Dr. Petrides (Alexis Conran) becomes upset with everyone trying to get his medical attention. After getting kick out of Gerald’s room, Spiros joins Larry. The party becomes a disaster for Louisa. Theo visits Gerald. Theo tries to cheer him up. Louisa apologizes to Gerald and gives him a beer. Lugaretzia aggravates the doctor. Larry and Spiros sing sad songs together. Back at the party, the group plays Spiros says.

the durrells larryGerald is introduced to Nelly. Leslie speaks with Daphne, while Gerald sits with Nelly. Gerald says something to tick off Nelly. Daphne and Leslie grow closer and closer. Larry tells Spiros that he was happy until he came along. He tries to get to the bottom of Spiros’s troubles. He learns that Spiros’s wife left and took the kids with her. Downstairs, Larry finally gets the party started. He tells Louisa about Spiros. Galini (Olivia Lebedeva-Alexopoulou) arrives. That finally cheers up Gerald. They join the dancing downstairs. Gerald drops something from his pocket. It is a poem. Florence and her husband are forced to leave the party. Leslie admits he is happy to be having a baby. He and Daphne may actually be in love. Louisa speaks with Spiros.

leslie daphne the durrellsLater, Louisa finally manages to fix things with Gerald. He admits he enjoyed the party. Louisa finds Larry and Nelly together. Spiros returns and tells Louisa about his problem. He admits he didn’t spend enough time with his family. He confesses that he doesn’t know how he feels about his wife.

 

The Durrells In Corfu Review

This was a pretty good episode of The Durrells. It probably wasn’t as good as the two previous ones, but it was entertaining still. We got to see a much different side of Gerald and Spiros. Leslie and Daphne have managed to work things out too. In fact, they could be falling in love. The episode scores a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of The Durrells in Corfu now!
