Temple Review

I’ve enjoyed almost every episode of Temple. It isn’t perfect by any means but I still thought it was enjoyable. It was interesting to see how far Daniel would go to get what he wanted. He took advantage of everyone and it appears that he finally achieved his goal. I think the finale would’ve been better if Beth didn’t wake up at the end though. Still, I enjoyed the ending. I just hope they make another season.

This one was very entertaining and kept me guessing. So, I feel that it should be given another season. We’ll find out soon enough I guess. I enjoyed the episode and give it a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Temple on Reel Mockery!

What a brilliant show this was. Mark Strong’s measured, charismatic gravitas was perfectly cast for the role of Daniel, but equally Daniel Mays provided a likeable, sympathetic foil for Lee’s character. As far-fetched as the concept is, the actors have carried the narrative and nothing has ever felt contrived. The storyline has been thoughtfully crafted and every plot device has served a purpose to move the story on. As with every episode in this show, the humour provided a light touch that never contaminated the earnest undertone of the story.

At the end of the finale, we see the vulnerable allies of Daniel have become killers, whereas the dark actions of Daniel have gotten off lightly. Seeing Beth wake was a pleasing yet frustrating last shot of the series. Can’t wait for Season 2.
