Teen Climate Warrior Greta Thunberg’s Activism To Be Showcased By 3-Part Special On PBS

PBS has announced a new three-part documentary series following teen environmental activist Greta Thunberg in partnership with BBC Studios’ Science Unit. The series will follow Thunberg as she attempts to shine a spotlight on the rapid acceleration of climate change.

PBS is scheduled to premiere the three-part Greta Thunberg: A Year To Change The World (Working Title) in its entirety on Earth Day, April 22, at 8 PM. Encore airings will be available each Wednesday starting on April 28 and ending on May 12.

The series follows Greta on her mission to save the world from a potential climate crisis. Along the way, Greta will explore the science behind climate change as she travels to extraordinary places from around the world. She’ll also meet leading climate scientists and witness the consequences of climate change firsthand.

Viewers will travel with Thunberg to the coal mines of Europe, the melting glaciers of the United States, and the burning tar sands of the Canadian oil industry. These scenes will attempt to emphasize the reasons why scientists argue for action to be taken to fight climate change.

Greta Thunberg: A Year to Change the World is a BBC Studios Science Unit production in association with B-Reel Films. It is being co-produced with the BBC for PBS.
