Carl The Collector, created by Zachariah OHora (Wolfie The Bunny), is PBS KIDS’ first-ever children’s animated series, with an autistic lead character. A production of Spiffy Pictures and Fuzzytown Productions, Carl The Collector is scheduled to air in Fall 2024 on PBS KIDS.

Carl, a raccoon with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a collector at heart. He applies his talents to amassing a collection of items that will help him and his friends solve issues as they arise in Fuzzytown.

As a raccoon with ASD, Carl has personal challenges to conquer. Carl is not alone when it comes to the struggles of autism. His friend, Lotta, an artistic fox, also has ASD. With the help of his best friend, Sheldon (a beaver), Lotta, Forrest (a squirrel with ADHD), and twin bunnies, Arugula and Nico, anything is possible.

“As an autistic person, I continue to be amazed at the level of detail and effort the team expends to assure that Carl and Lotta are authentic to the autistic experience,” said Dr. Stephen Shore. “In addition to being an interesting series, CARL THE COLLECTOR will become a great tool for both autistic and non-autistic people to gain insight on autism. Although designed for young kids, I plan on using relevant excerpts to supplement my university teaching and presentations around the world.”
