Our House Review

A much better episode as the story moves along quite nicely. The acting is great, excluding Buket Komur’s annoying raspy voice and mannerisms. I am not one to bash actors, but geez, her voice is like listening to fingernails scraping down a chalkboard.

I stick with my previous assessment, the plot is uncompelling. If anyone knows anything about real estate, they know there is a lot of red tape involved. The buyer visits the home multiple times before and once after the paperwork is signed by both parties. There are also numerous back-and-forth phone calls and emails with both real estate agents. The closing is a complicated process that makes fraud like this nearly impossible. With this said, the story alludes to the house being sold as off-market. I couldn’t imagine the closing of an off-market property would be much different than that of on-market.

Martin Compston really came through this episode. While the plot is uncompelling, Compston’s performance is believable. Tuppence Middleton and Rupert Penry-Jones outdone themselves as well. Great performances by both actors.

The episode deserves a 7. Get more Our House recaps here. Support ReelMockery by clicking the link to learn more.
