One Night Review

Young Hat provides a witness statement against Trevor. She claims the pub is trafficking heroin. Fresh out of prison, Trevor threatens to harm Hat and her children if he finds out she wrote “One Night.” She speaks a retired Detective Clemens about her 2002 witness statement. He claims her evidence didn’t contribute to Trevor’s incarceration. Someone higher up forced him to shut down the rape case. He questions why she and Joey didn’t go down with Trevor.

Tess plans to buy The Ocean View and torch it. Mary contemplates selling it because Trevor and Joey can’t get along.

Hat’s attempt to have Simone’s book taken off the shelf fails. The publishing company agrees to edit the book. Simone threatens to go public about her writing “One Night” if the publisher doesn’t identify her as the author.

While a difficult role, Erroll Shand brings Trevor to life perfectly. At times, I feared for Hat’s life.
