A short time later, Constable Christina tells Emma and Pete that the discovery of Annika’s remains has convinced the Law Office that she acted in self-defense and she can go home. She says there is no trace of the money before apologizing for not believing her. Pete and Emma embrace.

Emma informs Freja (Camilla Roholm) of Annika’s murder. Freya is glad to know Annika didn’t abandon her. Emma assures her that Annika loved her and Oscar. Love Rat Finale Review

At one point in the show, I suspected Pete was involved in the scheme but just as quickly dismissed it. Neil Morrissey is totally believable as a master manipulator.

Being connected to two murders and the sudden death of a husband, it is questionable if Emma would be resettling in Cyprus with the help of Pete’s fraudulent money.

The writer felt the need to give the show a positive ending for viewers. It seems to be the norm with psychological thrillers, a bit of goodness to cover up all the bad. On a good note, the story has a solid conclusion.

The series is plagued with weak writing but still worth a watch. The finale deserves a 5 out of 10. Get more Love Rat recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by donating.
