At the start of the episode, the guys are seen making fun of Les ‘Hollywood’ Norton (Alexander Bertrand). Georgie (Pallavi Sharda) takes up for Les so he calls her the voice of reason. Price Galese (David Wenham) tells the group about the events at Redfern. The Minister (Rhys Muldoon) wants to build a park there. There is just one slight problem. One of the tenants isn’t willing to leave without a lot of money. Eddie (Justin Rosniak) explains that they haven’t been able to get rid of Percy Kilby (Meyne Wyatt). He runs a charity to benefit himself and he wants half a million to move. Billy (Hunter Page-Lochard) comes up with a plan to solve that problem.

He suggests using the Boys from Binjiwunyawunya. (No, I won’t be writing that again! LOL!) After the intro, Les and Billy meet the boys at the airport. Meanwhile, Arthit (Benhur Helwend) and the others continue searching for Les. Billy and Les get the boys settled into their room which is right across the street from Percy’s place. Les learns that Foghorn (Ian Roberts) is going to take over his shift at the Kelly Club. He will be required to stay with the boys until they’re able to get rid of Percy. The first task on Les’ list is tracking down sushi. Unfortunately, there are no sushi joints in Redfern so he has to travel outside of the city.

Billy refuses to tell Les exactly what is going on with the boys. When Billy leaves, he spots a black cat and believes this could be a sign of something bad to come. Percy and his buddy Jack ‘Palings’ Murphy (Mark Coles Smith) talk about the charity and getting paid by Percy. Bognor (Rebel Wilson) tracks down Ray Burrell (Steve Le Marquand). She accuses him of sleeping with her sister and tries to use that to get Thumper on her side. He isn’t willing to budge though. Les delivers the sushi to the boys. He becomes suspicious that they’re not doing anything. In return, he is given a list of items to obtain. The list includes mud crabs.

Les shows up at the Kelly Club and speaks with Billy about the boys. He confesses that he is a bit concerned they’re not doing their job. Billy is sure that everything will work out and he gives Les advice for finding mud crabs. Billy lets Les know that Emily Gold (Syd Zygier) came looking for him. Billy passes off her number to Les. When Les picks up the crabs, he finds out that his mirror has been broken. He becomes more concerned that the boys are doing something crazy. Les delivers the crabs. He tries to convince one of the men to tell him what they’re going to do with them. He is told that they’re going to eat them before the door is shut in his face.

We see that Syd has been developing pictures of Thumper and Dolores Bognor. The following day, Les meets up with the Minister. Les learns that they might have to move the park to Bognor’s neck of the woods if he cannot get rid of the last tenant quickly enough. Price promises that it’ll be taken care of. After a loud night, Les checks on the Boys and makes sure that everything is fine. He tells them that Billy wants things to be sped up a little. Les asks if there is a way he can help. He is told that he could get blood from Percy. Les doesn’t back down from the challenge. We find out that something is working. Percy looks terrible and seems to be getting sick.

Les shows up a few seconds later and tells Percy that his name is Len Nordberg and he is from South Africa. He claims to run a charity there and agrees to give Percy’s charity a donation. After that is settled, Les trips Percy and smashes his head into the table. He gets the man’s blood and escapes without incident. When Les steps outside, he spots a fire in the boy’s window. He rushes up and finds out that nothing is wrong. The boys seem to be chanting or something. Billy arrives and Les tells him about the stuff going on. Billy is forced to admit that they’re voodoo practitioners or something another. When Billy leaves, Les decides to call Syd.

He meets up with her seconds later and learns about her investigation into Thumper and Bognor. Les tries to convince her that she should drop it. She thanks him for his advice and offers a meal but he has to run. They agree to do it some other time. Percy goes out with Jack. They share many drinks and a meal. Then, they get a massage and Percy continues getting sicker. Arthit and the Thai guys go to the Kelly Club. They put on their masks and spot the Bowen Lager billboard featuring Les. Billy spots them and runs them off. In the morning, Price gets a call from the Minister. He is told to turn on the television and does so.

Price learns that the government is going through with the park’s construction a little earlier than expected. Price realizes he needs to get rid of Percy very soon. He gives Percy a call but he isn’t willing to budge. Percy wants more money than Price is willing to offer. Price says something about using old school tactics. When the call ends, Percy begins losing his teeth. Lozza (Kate Box) gets a visit from Arthit and the Thai guys. They pretend that they want to use Les for a commercial in Thailand. She mentions that Les is her flatmate. Les learns that the boys have been picking on her. They’ve given him tasks to complete just to get rid of him. Billy knows that they need to do something quick or Price is going to scold them.

Percy’s condition continues to worsen. His friend recommends going to the doctor but he refuses. When Jack leaves, Percy gets a visit from Les. Les tells him that he is thinking about opening a charity in Australia. He suggests using the building across the street but wonders if he can get rid of the three aboriginal men. He describes them to Percy who realizes Les is talking about the three men he has been seeing in his dreams. Percy becomes scared. He believes Price’s old school tactics may include voodoo. Billy is happy that Les found a solution to their problem. Percy meets with Price and eventually agrees to move out without a payment at all.

Les talks with the boys. They admit that they follow the instructions and don’t know what will happen to Percy now that they’ve stopped. Les is happy that he is going to be dropping them off at the airport. We see that Percy has become nicer and happier. However, he gets ran over by a bus at the end of the episode. The bus has a Les Norton Bowen Lager advertisement on the back.

Les Norton Review

It is crazy and stupid. It is hilarious too. I am a fan of Les Norton and can’t believe it has such low scores elsewhere. It isn’t perfect. Nevertheless, I feel that it makes up for the flaws with plenty of humor. On top of that, the story is unique and interesting. I like the time period as well. All of the characters are fascinating in their own way. I am eager to see where things are going to go. Syd is indeed digging too deep and that may come back to haunt her.

Or, it might hurt Price. I am not sure. I haven’t read the books. Will Bognor get revenge? I can’t wait to find out. The episode scores a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Les Norton right now!
