At the start of the episode, we join Les Norton (Alexander Bertrand) and Eddie (Justin Rosniak) back at the train station. They sport Doreen Bognor (Rebel Wilson) but question whether it is really her. After the intro, Les, Eddie, Georgie (Pallavia Sharda), Price, and Billy discuss the situation. We learn that Doreen had an identical twin. Price Galese (David Wenham) doesn’t seem too worried about things. Alexander is. Price explains that he has been in the game for a long time and he knows more than Les. After that, Billy (Hunter Page-Lochard) holds the heavy bag for Les. After the punches end, Billy asks Les about his time with Emily Gold (Syd Zygier).

Les insists that it didn’t go anywhere. When Les returns home, he finds out that Lozza (Kate Box) has a problem. She is helping put together a television advertisement for Bowen Lager and needs a sheep shearer. She decides to try Les for the leading role. Soon, Les finds himself in front of Hobo (Kieran Clancy-Lowe). At first, it seems like a terrible audition but Hobo loves it. Les lands the lead role. Hobo believes Les could be revolutionary. Meanwhile, Thumper (Steve Le Marquand) speaks to Emily about her time at the blackjack club. He doesn’t want her to get involved with it anymore. When he leaves, she learns that Thumper has received another call about Bognor.

Les and Lozza arrive at their destination. She tells him that he needs to be on his best behavior and stay out of trouble. Meanwhile, Price sits down with the twin Dolores. They go back and forth in hopes of coming to a mutual agreement. Instead, they walk away without an arrangement. During this time, Emily goes through the case files regarding Doreen and her twin. Dolores returns home and gets a drink from Arthit (Benhur Helwend). We find out that Malcolm has bitten one of the girls and is now being tied up in the Bognor house. Dolores admits that hiring Wrongside might have been a mistake. She wants to deal with Price on her own. They agree to go after Price’s weakest link.

Meanwhile, Price speaks with Georgie about old times. Les Norton arrives at the motel and learns that he has been assigned a suite. He agrees to meet back up with Lozza for a drink later. Murry ‘Muzza’ Norton (Stephen Peacocke) arrives and intends to share drinks with the couple. Lozza takes an immediate liking to Muzza. Lozza finally learns what really happened back at home. Les and his brother won the rugby game and went out to drink. Baden Bender (Rowan Chapman) was there and Les calls him out for taking a cheap shot on his brother. Later, they get into an argument and Baden takes a swing on him. Baden goes over the railing and crashes to the ground below. Les made a run for it after that.

The group goes out drinking and dancing after that. Elaine (Bianca Jones) joins the group a short time later. Les is awoken by a call in the morning. He tries to wake up Lozza but ends up leaving without her. We learn that a dozen extras have been lured to the club with the promise of free booze. Les is put into a goofy outfit before Ruben (Trevor Ashley) does his makeup. Lozza finally gets up with Muzza. Les calms down the extras by offering to pay for more beer. Then, a man enters and claims the pub is his. He doesn’t want Bowen Lager there or the advertisement being shot at the facility. Les gets involved and it turns into a big fight.

The cameraman records everything. At the end of the fight, Les takes care of the troublemaker and finishes a Bowen Lager. Lozza finally enters. They leave the following day while being followed by three Thai men. When they return home, Lozza believes she is going to lose her job. In the morning, Les learns that Lozza has gone to the office in hopes of winning her job back. He rushes over and speaks with Hobo. However, Lozza already has it handled. She has used the fight scenes to create an ad for Bowen Lager. The guys love it. Meanwhile, Emily watches as the Thai men enter the Borgon house. She sneaks up on the house and finds that Dolores has a shotgun held on the men.

The men lower their guns and agree to sit down with a beer. Dolores tells the men that they were messed around by someone. She shows them a video of Les Norton from when he visited before and the episode ends.

 

Les Norton Review

I’ve enjoyed all three episodes of Les Norton. I have not read the books so I am not sure why the show has such a poor rating on IMDB. I find it humorous and interesting. I like the storyline and am eager to see how things are going to play out for Les and the gang. Again, I had not read the books so that might be why I like it so much. There are many good shows on television right now.

This, Glitch, Peaky Blinders, and more. Les Norton might not be the best of the bunch but it is still worth the watch. I like it and believe most people will. This episode scores a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Les Norton before you go!
