Hijack Review

A decent episode, although some aspects were stunning. The mother’s escape was certainly the most cringe-worthy of all. I can appreciate the thought of an all-powerful 1% entity but the lady’s daring escape was too much.

The aborted landing was frustrating. I assume it is a play to drag out the hijacking. I almost feel that it would have been better to scrap it and come up with another plotline. Despite that, I cannot deny that they did well with what they had to work with. Lots of interesting plots still left to explore with just 2 episodes remaining. Can’t wait to see how it all ties together. I would still rate this episode a 5 out of 10.

Agreed this doesn’t earn more than a 5 mainly because the entire episode was a fruitless “hope spot” which we all knew couldn’t work out with two episodes yet remaining (after this one). Meanwhile only tidbits were revealed which would move the plot along. We barley get a glimpse of the OCU behind it and they basically only tease that Sam’s son is in danger. Eve Myles at this point is relegated to the basement of obscurity serving as little more than a mouthpiece, which is a shame. Sam is supposed to be this master negotiator but so far all that he’s tried to do in order to manipulate the hikackers amounts to bupkis, though it seems at least he’s allowed to run up and down the aisles at will. More arguments for shorter 6 episode seasons. This cannot end soon enough. Turns out Crowded House is the much better Apple show currently airing

This is surprisingly only 7 episodes and it still feels drug out. It seems like any seasons with 6+ episodes will always have a throwaway episode and this was it. I wish they’d do what the UK does and have shorter seasons even with longer episodes. I may try to hit that one again. Dark Winds will be back out soon. Domina isn’t bad for a Sky series.

Special Ops Lioness isn’t terrible although it is your typical Sheridan/Paramount+ show with a basic plot.
