Heartbreak High Series 2 Review

The finale was the best episode of the season. The show is temporarily transformed into a true teen drama, not the typical comedy-style series. It misses the mark by not addressing real adolescent issues. It was actually nice to see Quinni’s mental disorder brought forward from season one. Unfortunately, it wasn’t thoroughly addressed.

The series could have been meaningful and helpful for teens suffering from low self-esteem, substance abuse, pregnancy, peer pressure, bullying, and other common problems. Sadly, someone thought it best to sexualize the cast instead.

The show could end at this point as there was closure on most everything except for Amerie and Malakai. In my own opinion, they are better off without each other.

The finale deserves a 6.5 out of 10. Get more Heartbreak High recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by donating. Learn how advertising with us can help bring awareness to your brand. Join our newly established forum to discuss new and classic films, celebrity happenings, sports, and more.
