As the episode begins, Charlotte Wells (Jessica Brown Findlay) listens to the sexual activity next door. Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton) wakes up Will (Danny Sapani). She suspects that something bad has happened. Noah (Eric Kofi-Abrefa) returns. He has been beaten. Lord Fallon (Ben Lambert) is angry that Lucy Wells (Eloise Smyth) has gone missing. He wants her found right away. The details of Florence’s past comes to light. Justice Hunt (Sebastian Armesto) speaks to Violet (Rosalind Eleazar) about the individual behind the revelation. Meanwhile, Florence (Dorothy Atkinson) learns that her past life has been exposed in the newspaper.

Charlotte watches the Marquess of Blayne (Julian Rhind-Tutt) leave. Lucy enters and requests to speak with her sister. She is given the opportunity to do so. Soon, Lord Fallon arrives and takes Lucy away. She tells Charlotte to come and visit her. Prince Rasselas (Josef Altin) speaks with Charlotte. He tells her that Lord Fallon was the one who killed the justice. Lydia (Leslie Manville) is told about the deceit. Lord Fallon becomes concerned and goes after Prince. Violet tries to convince Amelia (Jordon Stevens) that their relationship was nothing. It seems that she believes Amelia would be better off with Hunt.

Fallon continues chasing Prince. Soon, Amelia shows up and gets in the way. Fallon stabs her. Prince gets away. Hunt tracks down Mrs. Scanwell. He believes that she was deceitful and lied to him. Florence promises that Amelia is pure. Nancy (Kate Fleetwood) arrives. She tells Margaret about the stabbing. Amelia is rushed inside. Justice Hunt is sent to get a surgeon. Isabella (Liv Tyler) speaks with her brother. The Marquess realizes that Lydia is blackmailing his sister. He offers to help, but Isabella doesn’t tell him anything.

Lydia tells Charlotte that she needs to own what she did. She tells her to get Abigail (Isis Hainsworth) ready for tonight. Charles (Douggie McMeekin) encourages Emily (Holli Dempsey) to make peace with his mother. During this time, Harriet (Pippa Bennett-Warner) learns that Emily is pregnant. Limehouse (Sheila Atim) encourages Harriet to take over the brothel. Violet arrives to check on Amelia. Florence is not happy to see her. Charlotte tells Abigail that Lydia will pay for what she has done. Abigail wants Charlotte punished too. She tells her that she wants her to lose her family like she has lost hers. Margaret and Hunt learn that things are going bad for Amelia.

Margaret is interrupted. Prince tells her about the stabbing and Lord Fallon. At home, Fallon becomes more infatuated with Lucy. Margaret visits them. She encourages Lucy to come home. Lucy refuses. Emily finds Charles with Cherry (Francesca Mills). She tells Cherry to stay away from him. Cherry decides to strike back by squealing to Lydia. Margaret tells William and Nancy to get Lucy back. Charlotte tries to smooth things over with Lydia. Cherry’s arrival ruins that. Lydia and Charlotte get into a fight. Charlotte tries to save Abigail. However, Margaret arrives and stops her from strangling Lydia to death.

Charlotte and Margaret leave without Abigail. Cherry returns to Charles and lets him know about the fight. Lucy tells Fallon that she cannot leave while Charlotte is still at Quigley’s. Florence lashes out at Violet again. Violet explains that she never stood in the way of her marriage. She blames it on Florence instead. Florence asks her to tell her how Amelia looks. Fallon speaks to the Marquess about the stabbing. The Marquess says that they need to be together to be unassailable. Cherry tells Emily what she has done. Emily doesn’t put her out, since she knows it would hurt Charles. Instead, she wants Cherry to spy for her.

Lucy is returned to Charlotte and Margaret. Charles visits his mother. He encourages her to drop her hatred. At the brothel, Charlotte tells everyone about her attempt to bring down Lydia. Margaret gets up and leaves. She tells Fanny (Bronwyn James) to look after the baby. Margaret tells Will that she wants news of Amelia. She decides to go on her own instead of sending one of the girls. Lucy defends Fallon. Will tells Charlotte that her ladyship is there. Lucy believes that Fallon is her first success. She decides to go to bed. Margaret visits Justice Hunt. Florence admits she’d do anything to save her child.

Margaret asks Hunt what the punishment for death would be. He says death. Margaret confesses to the murder of Sir George Howard. She tells him that she killed him when he tried to rape Lucy. Margaret leaves with Hunt. Isabella speaks to Charlotte. She reveals that she had a child when she was very young. Isabella admits she needs to move her daughter. Lydia and the Marquess are vengeful. Isabella says that everything the Marquess did was due to her rejecting him. Her child is his. Lucy leaves the brothel. Margaret is put in a cell. Hunt tells her that she will be sentenced tomorrow. She tells him about Lord Fallon stabbing Amelia.

Hunt asks what he can do for her. Lord Fallon returns to Lucy. Isabella tells Charlotte that no one has ever touched her since. She is convinced that no one ever will. Charlotte offers to break her spell. They kiss. Hunt asks Margaret what he can do for her. She encourages him to hang her quietly and fast.

Harlots Review

It has been a long time since I watched an episode of Harlots. This episode was a bit long-winded, but I did enjoy it. It picked up there in the end and got pretty dramatic. I am really glad that Prince Rasselas didn’t get killed. I guess Margaret tried to do the right thing to save Lucy. However, I have a feeling that she will not be hung in the end. We’ll find out soon enough. I enjoyed the episode. It scores a 7 out of 10. Previous recaps of Harlots can be found on Reel Mockery!
