As the 4th episode begins, we see footage of Buenos Aires from 2001. The crowd chants Argentina before Sofia approaches Ramiro and says she wants to go with him. He pleads with her to return home. Then, he heads toward Banco De Rosa and Sofa follows him inside. Ramiro approaches the bank teller and asks for 2000 pesos but learns they’re only distributing 20 per person. Ramiro screams at the man while Sofia watches and another man tries to calm him down. Ramiro grabs a handgun from a police officer and points it at another bank worker. He demands money and says his company has gone bankrupt. The man apologizes but explains the bank doesn’t have any money. Sofia watches as Ramiro turns the gun on himself. Hans tells Dominic (Patrick Dempsey) that they’re going to have to cancel the deal because the finance minister says it runs counter to German interests. Dominic tells him he needs to think about the bank’s interest because it likely bought a lot of Irish bonds during the recovery. Karl recommends Dominic talking to the minister to change his mind and Hans wants to make sure he’ll keep the bonds situation to himself. In another news broadcast, we learn that Ireland has accepted emergency aid from the European Union after government debt reached critical heights. Then, Massimo finds out that Rheinthaler is in for three or four billion. Oliver Harris (Malachi Kirby) learns how Eleanor got that confidential information. Massimo enters and joins the lecture. Wade tells the students that the most powerful weapon of their time is the financial world. Massimo talks to him in private and asks him about the Irish bonds. He learns that Ed’s wife found something in his handwriting. Bale tells him she believes these things will send him to prison. Chris checks the cameras and finds something interesting. The interview is suspended when the crown prosecutor calls Bale. Oliver returns to the computer room and retrieves the PI before Massimo is told he can go because the case has been transferred to special crimes.

Bale says he has friends in high places. Massimo tells them he is innocent and didn’t kill Ed. He asks to see the papers. We see the video of Massimo arguing with Ed. Chris watches Oliver leave the computer room.

Devils Review

Well, this wasn’t one of the best episodes of Devils. It was too long-winded and slightly boring honestly. I mean it had a few moments here and there, but most of it was drug out. I lost interest midway through and just surfed until the end.

We learned that Carrie had been arrested for prostitution in Virginia, but she never told Massimo anything about it. Chris has more information to use against Massimo and his team since he watched Oliver mess with the computers. It appears Dominic came through and helped Massimo deal with the case against him.

Sofia found out that the Libyan mass graves videos were manipulated and she has likely rekindled her relationship with Massimo. The episode could’ve been more eventful, but it wasn’t bad. I’d give it a 6.5 out of 10. Previous recaps of Devils are available on Reel Mockery.
