Brutus (Daniel Caltagirone) finds an old homestead of sorts. He discovers the dead body of the previous owner. He tries to stir Philo (Zaqi Ismail). It doesn’t work. Cait hunts a rabbit for food. Phelan and Ania make it to Locerly. Brutus watches them from a distance. Phelan stops for water. Cait stops nearby and observes Phelan clean himself. Cait returns to her father. Brutus speaks with Philo. He pleads with Philo to say something, but he remains silent. Sawyer asks Cait what the Queen meant when she said Cait was the one. Divis arrives in town too.

Ania intends to stay overnight and travel to the Druids at daybreak. Phelan wants to know all about the prophecy. Ania suggests the Gods passed him over for King because they had a bigger purpose for him. Ania tells him that Veran wrote the prophecy. She tries to convince Phelan that he is indeed blessed. Brutus tells Philo about his reason for joining up. Philo doesn’t speak in return. Sawyer and Cait speak about her mother. He tells her that she should make the decisions from now on. Brutus asks Philo why he beheaded his best mate. Philo finally says something. He just says such over and over. Brutus sobs outside while Philo repeats it over and over. Phelan has sex with Ania. Sawyer is put to bed. Cait steps outside. She believes that she sees Islene (Callie Cooke). Islene claims that Cait’s love brought her back. Cait tells her that she must go. Cait knows that she is not Islene. She is Pwykka. Cait tells Pwykka that she is not afraid of him. She tells him to show his face. Islene returns and tells Cait that Pwykka came to her. He tricked her. She tells Cait that Pwykka cannot hurt her as long as she follows the path. Cait is the only one who can guide them to the light. Sawyer interrupts. Islene transforms back into Divis. He tells her that Pwykka is gone. Cait wants to speak with him alone. Sawyer doesn’t like the idea, but he eventually agrees. Divis tells Cait about his visit to the underworld. He struggles to admit that he was wrong. He explains that she is not pointless.

Divis knows why the Romans have come. Lokka has come to destroy Cait. Divis explains that it is his mission to protect her. He insists that they’ll need to work together to destroy Lokka. Cait asks about Lokka. Philo cannot remember what he was just talking about. Brutus cannot either. They believe it had something to do with boots. They head outside and look at the stars. They hail Luna.

Britannia Review

This was probably the most uninteresting episode of Britannia yet. It had a lot of poop jokes, plenty of drugs and tons of nonsense. Not much happened at all. Three groups of characters traveled to Locerly. Surprisingly, none of the groups ran into one another. Brutus saw Phelan, but never bothered to approach. Thankfully, Divis did return to his old self. Now, he is ready to team up with Cait to destroy Lokka. Otherwise, the episode really didn’t accomplish a whole lot.

It scores a dismal 6 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Britannia now.
