Even those who aren’t avid viewers of Britain’s long-running soap opera, “Coronation Street” can’t deny they’ve heard of the series. Everyone tuned in with modern streaming has likely heard some tale of something from “Coronation Street.”

It may have been a popular quote from another character on a different popular series or it may have been a mad rave about a previous finale or season opener. There is just no denying that the show hasn’t had a huge impact, leaving fans oftentimes stunned, shocked, and awed all at the same time as it swept across the screen.

A major part of the show’s continued and growing success can no doubt be contributed to the talented men and women involved. With such undeniable talent, writers and actors oftentimes find themselves in the position to tackle real-life issues while also spinning an intriguing TV story.

There is word that the series has something similar in the works involving today’s younger generation. The fact that cast and crew are already dropping hints about the potentials only bolds well for the shocking nature this new twist could offer.

All that’s clear so far is that this promised twist involves longtime favorite, Corrie, and is targeted toward younger viewers. Abi Franklin has even thrown out hints about another cross-generational plot, offering the younger stars an even bigger stage with the potential to shine further.

It’s promised to be shocking and tricky and considering the previous twists fans have already had the privilege of enjoying, this one will likely be great. With reports of the series teaming up with several popular charities, it seems they are taking things a bit further.

Bringing the charities in and the mention of cross-generational repercussions has already sent fans into a tailspin. When a show as important as “Coronation Street” finds itself in a position to take a stance on real, important issues it can be truly impactful.
