AMC Network’s streaming service, Acorn TV, specializes in British and international television. On November 1, 2021, it will become the exclusive home of the new adaptation of PD James’ novels Adam Dalgliesh Mystery. Doctor Foster star Bertie Carvel will transform into the puzzling detective in the upcoming series which will feature three two-part mysteries.

Each mystery has a top-notch cast and a new setting. Adam Dalgliesh parallels the prowess of Poirot and Holmes as he tries to unravel several odd murders in 1970’s England. He’ll investigate the baffling case of a nursing student who has been poisoned during a training demonstration. Other cases include the murder of a recently resigned Tory MP and strange deaths at a home for the disabled.

Helen Edmundson is serving as the lead writer and will be joined by Stephen Greenhorn. The series’ guest stars include Mirren Mack, Natasha Little, and Jeremy Irvine. Dalgliesh will be available exclusively on Acorn TV in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina on November 1, 2021. The trailer can be found here.
