BBC Studios partners with Red Planet Pictures to produce a “homegrown spinoff” of “Death in Paradise”. “Return to Paradise” is a six-part murder mystery series. Each episode features a gripping new murder set in the picturesque Dolphin Cove in Australia.
A hardnosed London Metropolitan detective, Mackenzie Clarke is forced to uproot and return to Dolphin Cove where she was raised. The move is Mack’s “worst nightmare”.
The people of Dolphin Cove, including her jilted ex-fiancé, are not receptive to Mack’s return. When a murder is reported in the area, the detective side of Mack urges her to join the investigation.
Return to Paradise, executive produced and written by Peter Mattessi, is set to premiere in 2024 on ABC. It will be available in the United Kingdom on BBC iPlayer and BBC One.
