A Discovery Of Witches Review

This episode of A Discovery of Witches was a little cheesy. Despite being a fable of such, the show has a very liberal slant to it. It doesn’t try to hide it in the least either. The writer wasn’t sure whether to keep things serious or not it seems. Nevertheless, the show itself is pretty good. Despite the lunacy of the story, the acting is very good. Matthew Goode is equally charming and creepy. His connection with Teresa Palmer is great and that really helps drive the story. The supporting cast is excellent too.

It seems like every episode unveils something new. This episode, we learned about the Covenant’s stance on interspecies relationships and we found out that Diana’s parents were killed by witches. The only potential problem is the number of characters. There are too many and that can create some confusion for a show that only lasts 40 some minutes. The episode was solid. It scores an 8 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of A Discovery of Witches right now.
