Since the premiere of “Joker” on August 31, 2019, fans have questioned if there will ever be a sequel. It’s official, the sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, will debut on the big screen on October 4, 2024. Deadline broke the story on August 3, 2022.

The 2019 “Joker” shook many fans to their core. “Folie à Deux” is expected to take things even further off the tracks inside Gotham City’s Arkham Insane Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
Who’s Joining The Cast?
Given that the film is slated to be a musical, it only makes sense for producers to bring in elite musical talent. That’s exactly what they did with the addition of Lady Gaga. She’s officially joined the star-studded cast as Harley Quinn.
Joaquin Phoenix will reprise Arthur Fleck, the official villain of the 2019 Joker. The talk show host, Murray Franklin will be played by Robert De Niro.
It’s a controversial move to revive Zazie Beetz’s character, Sophie Dumond since fans believe she was killed off in 2019’s Joker.
