When he tries to physically force her to salute him, she grabs his arm and slams him into the locker. He walks away with blood pouring from his nose.

A weepy Erin packs up her things when DI Jim Armstrong (Jamie Bamber) approaches. After identifying him as a Centralized Intelligence and Operations “CIO” specialist, he says she is in the top 5% in her year. She asks if he can convince them to let her stay. He reminds her that she broke Caldwell’s nose. As she prepares to leave, he suggests growing up in the foster care system was difficult. She demands to know what he wants from her. He urges her to become a CIO agent. Armstrong tells Erin that she will go undercover as a driver for a gang. She chooses Kate Jones, a deceased child’s name, as her alias.

Erin demonstrates her driving ability for Margot Muller (Ana Ularu) and Gasper (Joel Abadat). Emerging from the vehicle feeling unwell, Margot asks Gasper’s opinion. He sarcastically says Erin drives better than her. Margot says they will decide and let her know their decision.

Armstrong detects Erin is distracted during a sparring session. She voices concern about not hearing back from Margo. He suggests her driving demonstration was not as good as she thought. He blames himself for putting her out there too soon. She assures him that she is ready. He confesses to pitying her because she was left without a mother at the age of six. After pleading with him to give her another chance, she vows to not let him down. When she kisses him, he informs her of his being married. Margot texts to request a meeting.

Armstrong explains Ramsey’s criminal enterprise. He suggests Ramsey’s next project is being funded by an international source.

While running Erin’s fingerprints, Scotty admits to being a new addition to Ramsey’s gang. After ordering Erin to follow her, Lena tells her that a “Smertie” is a toy in high demand. She explains her plan to swipe one for her 5-year-old daughter. Erin suggests taking a motorcycle because it is faster than a car. Later, Erin pulls up in front of the Bexley Supply Depot, Lena runs in and grabs a Smertie when a worker tries to stop her. She jumps back on the motorcycle before Erin flees the scene. Later, Erin gifts Harper the Smertie.

Ramsey holds a meeting to discuss two impending gold bullion shipments going to the Harwich X44 Security Depot. He stresses the importance of reinforcing the vehicles to transport 300 kilos of gold bullion. Erin asks if he plans to flip the security van. Ignoring the question, Ramsey says they will be working on a tight schedule. He warns against firing their weapons until it is necessary when Harper demands some juice. Erin offers to get it for her.

Erin asks Margot and Lena if Ramsey bankrolls the profits. They ask why is it her business. Erin reminds her that they are taking all the risks. Lena asks if she is suggesting they cut Ramsey out. Erin breaks into a vehicle when Margot considers a three-way split. Lena asks if her cut is not good enough. Margot confesses to wanting a farm. Erin urges them to do it. Lena reminds them that it was Ramsey’s idea. Erin sets off the SUV alarm. When two security guards confront them, the women take them out before fleeing the parking garage.

Erin informs Armstrong of Ramsey’s gold bullion heist. Richards & Markham Private Equity. He asks who is bankrolling the profit. Erin suggests Lena knows the details. She voices concern about Harper’s welfare when Lena is arrested. He reminds her that they are not her friends. She asks what would happen if he extracted her from the mission. He assures her that the CIO would keep her on. She says a desk job is not 10m in gold bullion.

Lena expresses the stress of being responsible for Harper. Erin claims to have been abandoned by her mother. After explaining her plan to start over after the heist, Lena invites Erin to join them. Lena thanks her.

Lena and Erin arrive with masks for everyone. Ramsey asks Erin if she is the police. Erin says no. He claims Harwich ramped up security on their target night. Lena assures him that it means Erin is the police. Irate, he says someone is talking. Seeing Scotty is anxious, Ramsey confronts him. Scotty admits to not liking violence. Pointing out that Scotty is trying to run, Ramsey asks if he is the police. Scotty swings a knife at Daryl (Peter M. Smith) while denying he is the police. Daryl stabs him to death. Lena asks what about the heist if the police are onto them. Ramsey says they will confiscate the gold shipment tonight, instead of the one two weeks from now. Erin watches Gasper and Daryl take Scotty’s lifeless body away. Ramsey tells her to not feel bad for Scotty. She contacts Armstrong to inform him of Ramsey’s change in plan. Armstrong demands she stay in until they identify the bankroller. She reminds him of his promise to extract her if it gets dangerous. He says the mission is over in 12 hours.

As the gang loads into the vehicle, Erin confronts Lena about leaving Harper by herself. Ramsey orders everyone to get in. They put on their masks.

X44 Security Depot – The security van pulls into the bay. Erin crashes through the security gate. Daryl, Gasper, Margot, Lena, and Ramsey apprehend the guards. Gasper warns that they have five minutes. Lena activates the wench, lifting the security van until it flips on its top. Daryl sets the charge to blow open the doors. While they load the gold bullion, Erin approaches as a security guard orders Lena at gunpoint to remove her mask. Erin orders the security guard to drop his weapon when shots are fired and the guard is shot. A “shots are fired” alert rings out on the police radio. Ramsey orders everyone to load up. Erin drives away from the scene as a police car approaches from the rear. Shots are exchanged when Daryl is shot. The police car flips over.

Back at the warehouse, Margot accuses Erin of being an informer. Erin reminds her that she got them out. After blaming herself, Lena says Erin helped her. The door is blown away before police cruisers file in. A shootout ensues. Lena is shot. Erin puts Harper in the vehicle and flees. Ramsey, Gasper, and Lena are killed.

During a phone call, Erin demands to know why the police fired at them. He reminds them that “her people” fired the first shot. She asks Armstrong if he chose her because she was “disposable.” He denies the allegation. She accuses him of needing a win. He informs her of the missing gold bullion before assuring her that she still has a job with the CIO. Ending the call, she rips up the SD card. One gold bullion is in the passenger’s seat.
