The episode opens at The Ship Inn where Erin Carter (Evin Ahmad) tells Harper (Indica Watson) that they are going to travel somewhere always sunny. She warns that a dragon will eat them if they are not quiet. At the pier, she gives a man an envelope with cash. They take a dinghy to a fishing trawler. While holding Harper, Erin watches the land turn to sea.
Barcelona, 5 Years Later – Olivia (Susannah Fielding) hopes Erin will not forget them when she gets her new job. After pretending to not remember her, Erin admits to being glad she came to Barcelona. During rehearsal, Antonio Reyna (Max Ferret O’Dwyer) whispers in Harper’s ear before she attacks him. Running toward the stage, Erin orders Harper to stop. On a drive, Erin tries to get Harper to explain what happened but she refuses. At a supermarket, a worker (Alberto Luna) escorts them to the restroom. Harper briefly explains what Antonio said to her. Erin demands she apologize. While walking toward the exit, they see an overturned cart. Harper asks if she will tell Jordi. Erin urges her to call him dad when she spots blood splatters on the floor. After seeing a hostage situation, she rushes Harper to the back of the store where they see a masked holding an employee at gunpoint.
Harper hides under a display while Erin hides behind a shelf. As they watch the assailant beat the worker, an orange falls off the display. As the armed assailant approaches the display where Harper is hiding, Erin tosses a can across the floor. When the assailant approaches, she smashes a bottle in his face. As the struggle ensues, she repeatedly stabs him in the leg with a cake tester and reaches for the gun but he gets it first. The struggle continues until she shoots him. Harper alerts her of another assailant when the security alarm frights him away. After Erin removes the injured assailant’s mask, he says, “It’s you.”
At the hospital, Erin and Harper are met by Jordi Collantes (Sean Teale) who escorts them to a room. The doctor (Maria Fernandez) says she has multiple injuries. While Harper is away, Jordi tells Erin that the assailant is out of surgery. She asks if it would be possible to visit him. At the ICU, she sends Jordi to find Harper, so she can be alone with the assailant. Antonio says it is really you Kate. She denies knowing him. Irate, he calls her a liar before going unresponsive. The medical staff rushes into the room to perform CPR.
Erin stays with Harper while she sleeps. Later, Jordi tells Erin that the hospital has PTSD counselors. They get intimate. The next morning, Erin watches Jordi and Harper make pancakes before going for a run. She stops at Antonio’s house. He tells her that his dad is on a business and his mother is having a tennis lesson. She walks around the back to find Penelope Reyna (Charlotte Vega) and the tennis coach (Christian Canovas) having sex.
Jordi suggests Erin not go to work. She stresses the importance of being there before her impending job interview. Approaching her vehicle, she finds Emilio (Pep Ambros) asleep in his vehicle. Emilio says the police need to ask her a few questions about the supermarket incident. She claims to have little to say before inviting him to have coffee with Jordi. Harper asks why Emilio sleeps in his vehicle. Erin tells her that he prefers the car after his wife left him. At school, Erin offers to take Harper home but she refuses. She enters the Meeting Room to find her colleagues waiting with applause. Olivia warns Erin that Penelope filed a former complaint to request Harper be removed from the school. Holding up a newspaper, she boasts of Erin being a “hero.” Later, Erin is writing her name on the board when Dylan Lang (Finnian Burke) throws a paper wad at her. Dylan sarcastically says it was an accident before asking her to not shoot him.
Emilio informs Erin that the detectives need to question her tomorrow. He shows her CCTV footage of the supermarket. He points out how well she handled herself. She assures him that it is not uncommon for a mother to find the strength to save her child. He reminds her of how she stabbed the assailant twice before shooting him. She denies shooting anyone because the gun was fired during the struggle. He warns that the second assailant has not been apprehended.
Penelope’s birthday party, Erin demands Harper go speak to Antonio. Jordi complains about everyone talking about Erin. Emilio admits to being glad it is not him for a change. Harper threatens Antonio to get him to shake her hand. Erin tells Penelope that Harper feels bad about what happened. Penelope says the other students need to be protected from Harper. Erin assures her that Harper is no danger to anyone before pleading with her to dismiss the complaint. Penelope sarcastically asks her to leave because she is blocking her view. Walking away, Erin sees a woman staring at her when Jordi approaches.
Upon returning home, Erin sees the lights on. Jordi suggests she forgot to turn them off.
Saint Angel Station – Inspector Tabarez says Erin worked as a private tutor in Strasbourg. Erin claims to have tutored Mark and Lisa Palmer. He asks if the Palmers were listed as a reference at St. Joseph’s International. She says yes. He warns that there is no evidence of a Palmer family living in Strasbourg at that time. He questions why she visited the assailant in the ICU. She admits to feeling bad about what happened. He asks if Jordi was present when the assailant suffered a heart attack. She says no but an officer was stationed outside the door. Tabarez asks if she knew a cardiac arrest can be brought on by asphyxiation. After denying she did anything wrong, Erin asks if the CCTV revealed Harper’s fear while she hid from an armed assailant. He says the supermarket CCTV was disabled, so there is no footage of the incident.
Emerging from the interview room, she encounters Emilio. She repeats what Tabarez said about there being no footage of the incident. Emilio tells Erin that he thought it would help to conceal the CCTV footage. She says it makes her look like she is hiding something.
On the ride home, Erin suspects a car is following her. She veers off the road but the other driver makes a left. She questions if it was the right choice to come to Barcelona. Upset, Harper gets out of the vehicle. Erin follows with her glasses. Harper says she does not want to leave. They frolic in the water. Later Erin tells Harper to go inside while she speaks with Penelope. Harper says Penelope pleads with Erin to not let her get expelled. When Penelope refuses to drop the complaint, Erin threatens to show her husband a video of her having sex with the tennis coach. Penelope agrees to settle their differences as neighbors but warns she made a mistake.
Erin tells Jordi that Harper will not perform in the musical. Harper admits to hitting Antonio and Penelope wants her expelled. After a brief argument, Erin arrives at the musical. Olivia demands to know why she is late. Erin admits to having an argument with Jordi. Olivia says she juggles the kids by getting high. Watching the musical, a woman stops to look at Erin before leaving. Emilio sees Erin leave. In the hallway, she finds herself face to face with Margot (Ana Ularu) who accuses Kate (Erin) of having something before trying to attack her with a knife. A fight ensues and ends with Erin killing Margot. Witnessing the fight, Emilio asks who was she. Erin claims she was from the supermarket. They put the body in the trunk and drive to a remote area where they dig a shallow grave. Erin curses Margot before Emilio fills in the hole. She asks why he is helping her. After admitting to getting mixed up with the wrong people, he suggests they can help each other. She reminds him that she is only a teacher. He says what about the dead body in the classroom.
Erin finds a violent sketch of a stabbing in Harper’s notebook. She has a flashback about an incident with Margot. The next morning, she removes a gun and silencer from a hiding place when Harper walks in. The episode ends.

Who Is Erin Carter Review
While interesting, the plot is far from original or plausible. A violent attack would not go unnoticed inside a school with a complex surveillance system. The acting is decent but not always believable.
