As the finale of Who Is Erin Carter begins, Erin Carter (Evin Ahmad) gets up and begins walking despite having a gunshot wound to her stomach. Lena Campbell (Denise Gough) enters Erin’s house and takes a list of phone numbers from the fridge. Lena is still in the house when Jordi (Sean Teale) and Harper (Indica Watson) return. When they leave moments later, Lena watches them through the window. Once Lena is alone, two men walk in and one of them knocks her out. Erin steals a truck that she uses to drive home.

After she goes inside, Jordi and Harper see that she is wounded. As Jordi prepares to care for her, Erin asks Harper about her holiday. Erin tells Jordi that Lena did this as he finds out the bullet went straight through. Daniel Lang (Douglas Henshall) approaches Lena who is tied to a chair. He asks if she has information about Erin Carter. Lena claims to have stayed at his house years ago before mentioning the name Thomas Ramsey. Daniel knows her name is Lena Campbell. He sits down and asks her why she was at Erin’s house. Lena believes it is the same reason he has people guarding it. When he asks what that means, Lena says Erin is Kate Jones who was an undercover cop that messed up the Harwich job.

Daniel doesn’t know. Lena explains that Erin was the rat. She doubts he has to worry about Erin since she shot her and left her in the mountains. Daniel learns that his men saw Erin coming back to her house. When he wants to take care of it, Lena pleads with him to make sure Harper doesn’t get hurt. She says she has the gold. Lena offers to give him the gold in exchange for Harper. Daniel tells his men to kill Erin and make sure the kid isn’t collateral. Jordi works on Erin’s wound while learning about Lena. Erin admits that her name isn’t Erin and that she brought all of this into their house.

Harper receives a message from someone saying they’re worried about her mom. They say they’re someone who wants to help. Jordi tells Harper they need to go. Erin tries to talk to Harper who reminds her she isn’t her mother. Jordi tells Erin that he has to take Harper somewhere safe. Once Jordi leaves with Harper, Erin finds the ripped photo and suspects Lena was in her house. She injects herself before hearing someone behind her. They fight until Erin manages to knock the guy out. Erin takes out two more men while fleeing the property. Lena and Daniel get an update. Daniel tells his goon to keep an eye on Lena just in case.

Erin enters a trailer where she is approached by a woman who pulls a gun on her. Once Erin takes care of her, a man begins shooting into the trailer. Erin quickly deals with him as well. As she flees, she runs into Penelope Reyna (Charlotte Vega) who gives her a ride. Olivia Thorne (Susannah Fielding) lets Harper and Jordi come inside. Jordi explains that he just needed to get Harper out of the house for a while. She offers to listen to whatever he has to say, but Jordi says he is good. Olivia questions whether Erin is a drug dealer. Jordi says no. Lena approaches Harper who asks if she is going to help her mom.

Lena hopes she knows that she never left her. Harper is more concerned with helping Erin. Lena believes Harper still remembers her. Lena hugs her until Harper pushes her away causing a glass to fall and break. Olivia and Jordi hear it. Jordi comes out and tells Lena that she hurt his wife and is now scaring his daughter. He wants to take Harper away while Olivia tells Lena that she is scaring her. Outside, Jordi is approached by Daniel’s guys who urge him to come with them. Lena reminds them this wasn’t the plan. Olivia comes out and tries to talk to them, but they quickly convince her to go back inside.

Lena threatens to kill the man if anything happens to Harper. He tells her to find Erin Carter using her husband’s phone. Erin can’t get in touch with Jordi. Penelope begins complaining about her life. Erin tries to get her to drop her off, but Penelope wants to go to Maria Tadavila’s birthday party. Lena calls Jordi’s phone and tells Erin that they need to meet. When they reach the birthday party, Penelope tells Erin she is going to ask him for a divorce. Lena approaches Erin who prepares for a fight. Lena just wants to talk. Erin throws dishes at her. Erin calms down after Lena says they have a problem with Harper. Lena explains that Daniel has Jordi and Harper. He wants Erin in exchange for Harper.

Lena reminds her she is the one who got mixed up with him. She explains that he bankrolled the Harwich job and Tommy Ramsey works for him. Lena will give Erin to Daniel if that means getting Harper. She knows Erin took Harper because she thought she was dead. Erin thinks she betrayed her. Lena says yes although she gave Harper a home and a good life. Erin says she is still pretending to be something she isn’t, but Lena believes every parent does that. Once Erin says she loves her, Lena doesn’t blame her because Harper is amazing. Erin says they both want what is best for Harper.

They meet Daniel’s men. Lena punches Erin in the stomach and curses her. Daniel comes out and asks his men to check Erin again. He tells Lena she is going to hang around for a while. Daniel reminds Erin that she owes him so he wants her to work for him. Erin and Lena take guns from his guards. Erin tells Daniel to give her Jordi and Harper. Shots are exchanged. Erin and Lena take cover while Erin tells her she never told her he had an army. Since they’re running out of bullets, Erin says one of them should draw fire while the other goes for Harper. Erin tells Lena to take care of Harper and to tell them she is sorry.

Lena refuses. Instead, she tells Erin to tell them herself. She asks her to tell them something good about her too. Erin watches as Lena causes an explosion and falls to the ground. Jordi and Harper are brought to Daniel who has been shot. Jordi offers to take care of him if he lets Harper go. Daniel refuses to let him take Harper away. He says it is insurance just in case anyone is foolish enough to come for him. Erin shoots her way in and checks on Harper. Jordi walks out with Harper. Daniel admits Harwich was supposed to be his last job. He thinks this is what she is, but Erin says she is there for her family.

Daniel hopes her family sees her for what she is. He sees her and he isn’t done. Daniel grabs his gun. Jordi and Harper hear a gunshot behind them. Erin catches up with them seconds later. Later, Erin hangs out with Jordi and Harper who says she finished her letter to her mom. Erin goes back into the restaurant to get Harper’s goggles. Once Erin gets the goggles, she begins returning to Jordi and Harper. DI Jim Armstrong (Jamie Bamber) tells her she has a nice family. He admits she was a hard person to track down. She asks if he is going to try to arrest her, but Jim doesn’t want to ruin her holiday.

He warns her that holidays come to an end though. Then, it’s time to get back to work. He calls her trouble and says he has always found use for trouble. When she returns to Jordi, they talk about the possibility of getting a dog or cat. Erin believes she is responsible for putting them in danger. After Jordi asks what he should call her, Erin says she is Erin Carter.

Who Is Erin Carter Review

The finale of Who Is Erin Carter was okay although the story got ridiculous before all was said and done. Erin was shot, yet still managed to beat up a bunch of people and survive several firefights. Not to mention how quickly she was willing to forgive the person who shot her. Nevertheless, the ludicrousness of the story was clear well before the finale so that is something viewers have likely accepted by now.

The performances have been decent despite some of the scenes being so unrealistic. Although there were some good moments, the story only seemed to skim the surface in most episodes. Truthfully, Who Is Erin Carter wasn’t great although it was watchable. If viewers are willing to overlook many issues and just accept the story for what it is, they may enjoy what the show has to offer.

There really isn’t much that differentiates this from Netflix’s other action shows, especially those that have been released in the last few months. The finale was probably the most over-the-top episode of the season with so many eye-rolling moments. It scores a 5.5 out of 10. Recaps of Who Is Erin Carter can be found on Reel Mockery here.
