The episode opens at Emilio Martin’s (Pep Ambros) funeral. The minster asks Ana (Nuria Deulofeu) and Rafa Martin (Kian Noam Omurca) to issue their final farewells. At the casket, Erin Carter (Evin Ahmad) sees a condolence card from Daniel Lang (Douglas Henshall) and Dylan Lang (Finnian Burke). Outside, Penelope Reyna (Charlotte Vega) tells Jordi that she is sorry for his loss. Jordi Collantes (Sean Teale) says they will probably sell their house. Harper (Indica Watson) complains about his wanting to sell the house. Penelope and Harper leave to see Rafa. Erin suggests Jordi take Harper away for a few days when a dispute breaks out between Ana and Inspector Tabarez (Andy Lucas). Erin tells Tabarez that Emilio mentioned Daniel Lang.
Daniel asks Dylan if he is doing homework. Dylan says it is a card for Rafa. Daniel suggests a poorly drawn sketch will not give Rafa much comfort. He immediately apologizes and urges him to finish the card.
While Jordi takes the luggage to the car, Erin and Harper discuss their trip. Harper asks if she told Jordi the truth about her. Erin says no before assuring her she isn’t the problem. Outside, Jordi tells Erin that a few days apart won’t help their relationship. Harper returns to hear Erin say no matter what, Harper needs to know he will always be her father. After they leave, Erin finds Moses (Yayan Ruhian) inside their house. She pulls a knife on him before he leaves.
At school, Olivia Thorne (Susannah Fielding) assures Erin that she is there for her. Erin accuses Oliva of preventing her from getting the full-time position. Olivia admits to giving the board her honest opinion before reminding her that she showed up for the interview wearing a t-shirt.
At the parent conference, Erin tells David that Dylan’s grades are improving. He attributes the improvement to her tutoring. He apologizes for what happened to Emilio. He warns that the people above him are less reasonable than him. She refuses to pretend like it didn’t happen. He threatens to kill Harper first and then her and Jordi in a staged home robbery. She orders him to stay away from her family. He claims to be protecting her. They shake hands before he walks away.
Later that evening, Erin practices shooting a handgun. After a brief call with Jordi, she falls asleep with her gun. A knock at the door wakes her up. Penelope invites her to join Ana at the bar where Emilio proposed. Erin reluctantly accepts the invitation. Penelope asks if they are going to sell their house. Erin says yes when Penelope hugs her.
Working in her garden, Olivia is approached by a disguised Lena Campbell (Denise Gough). She claims to be Kate Jones, a former friend of Erin’s who is looking to patch up their rocky relationship. Olivia invites her in for tea where Lena threatens her twin to get Erin’s location.
Rapture Bar – Erin receives a call from a frantic Olivia who suggests they meet. Erin tells her that she is at a social gathering. Ana tells Erin that Daniel offered to pay for Rafa’s education. Erin warns her to stay away from Daniel. Ana assures her that Daniel only wants to help. Erin looks up Daniel’s address on social media. She arrives at Daniel’s house as a party is in full swing. She removes her shoes when Moses enters. Drawing her gun, she warns that he should not have visited her house when a fight ensues and ends when Daniel intervenes. He informs her that Daniel is a former special forces before demanding to know who she is. She says there is no way she will allow him to buy his way out of his killing Emilo. He describes his offers as “generous” when she hits him. Retrieving the revolver, he pleads with her not to kill him where Dylan will find his body. Erin is then shown exiting the home and discarding the revolver in a public trash can. A dazed Daniel watches his guests from a balcony.
Bar Monaco – Erin washes the blood from her face when she sees a missed call and voicemail from Olivia. As she listens to the voicemail, Lena approaches from behind. Erin claims to have thought she died. Lena demands to know where Harper is at. Erin says Harper is in Canyelles. Lena orders her to drive to Canyelles.
During the drive, Erin assures Lena that she would not have left her if she knew she was alive. Realizing they are not en route to Canyelles, Lena gets agitated. Erin claims the gold is buried a few miles away. Lena asks if Harper ever talks about her. Erin confesses to telling Harper that she is her mother. Irate, Lena orders her to show her the gold. At the site, Erin escorts her to where she hid the gold. Lena claims Margot believed Erin took the gold but she thought the police confiscated it. Lena says when Margot confronted her about the gold, she refused to give it to her for fear she would be caught trying to spend it. She admits to killing Margot after she tried to kill her. Removing the gold bullion from the hole, Erin tosses it to Lena. She tries to convince her to leave without Harper. When Erin professes to love Harper, Lena shoots her in the stomach before leaving with the gold. The episode ends.
Who Is Erin Carter Review
Not a bad way to gear for the finale. Lena still being alive was a pleasant surprise. Whether or not her revenge is warranted is still to be determined. Nonetheless, the board is set for the final episode and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Erin’s decision to let Daniel live was also somewhat of a shocker. Other than those two revelations, episode 6 didn’t offer much else. This episode deserves a 5.6 out of 10.
