Wentworth Review

Boy, the finale of Wentworth was a real let down. The old series was the exact opposite. In the old Prisoner, we almost never got happy endings for the main characters. In the new Wentworth, the writers are afraid of controversy. Will, Jake and Vera managed to wiggle their way out of trouble in a not so plausible manner. That was the best storyline of the season. Sadly, it ended with a whimper.

The scenario with Rita, Ruby and Drago was very predictable. Why does everything have to be so happy for the main characters? The writers haven’t taken a chance since Bea was offed. Of course, they were forced into that because Danielle Cormack wanted out. There is really no excitement or mystery anymore.

The writers need to start switching things up and getting rough with the main characters. The old formula is getting boring. The finale scores a 5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Wentworth now!
