Wentworth Review
Well, Wentworth is back and I am not overwhelmed so far. There were some things to like about the episode. There is definitely plenty going on. Kaz is struggling to keep the girls under control. Ruby and Rita have their own conflict. Franky is trying to exonerate herself. We have the Sonia poisoning and Vera and Jake are playing chess too. Sadly, it just feels bland at this point. Rita and Ruby were introduced this episode, yet they basically stole the show.
They consumed at least 30 minutes of the 45 minute episode and neither character is that interesting. This season is going to have to improve a great deal to make the show worth sticking with. The new Wentworth is falling in line with the old Prisoner. Both got dull in the end. However, Wentworth is in a free fall and needs saving fast. The episode scores a 6.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Wentworth now.

I am SO disappointed in season 6. I watched this series faithfully, and the anticipation of a new season was always fun. Season 6 is more like a soap opera ( Boring) and the ‘THRILL’ is gone. I can only assume the writers were new, because every other season was spectacular, this year not so much. Throwing in an abortion side line was riveting, NOT! The footage should still be on the editors floor. Then every time you see “Will” he’s crying like a child AND taking drugs ( again ) Can you say “disturbing” ? Boomer coming to grips with being the infant of an alcoholic.. now she knows she’s Not just dumb, she’s special. OOOoooooo the best part of alll was the tear jerker episode when “Frankie” was movin on up with her girlfriend, Gigit. The montage called Faces of Frankie….it was nice BUT it was at that point In the series people were fading out like they were in a circus that was leaving town,…. strangely strange . Oh there are so many more abservations begging me to unleash their truth. My second verse will be posted soon
lol! Couldn’t agree more. This season was really bad. Writers were afraid to take risks and the new characters are horrible. Can’t wait to see what else you add 🙂
