As the episode begins, Ann Reynolds (Jane Hall) thinks about the aftermath of a terror attack while reading through the files of Judy Bryant (Vivienne Awosoga). Then, we jump outside where Boomer (Katrina Milosevic) and Judy watch Lou Kelly (Kate Box) and Reb Keane (Zoe Terakes) hang out together. Boomer rushes over and asks Linda Miles (Jacqueline Brennan) when Allie is going to get out of the slot but Miles doesn’t have an answer for her. Ruby (Rarriwuy Hick) tells Miles that she needs to talk to Rita but Miles doesn’t cooperate with her either. Ruby sits down with Judy and asks her about hacking into the government system so they can find out where Rita is being kept. Judy says she could but would need a computer with unrestricted access.
Moments later, Ann tells Vera (Kate Atkinson) about the problems she is having with the upcoming speaking event at the prison. Ann is worried that they’ll all be in trouble if she cannot impress the minister. Vera promises to help by getting some of the women to copy the page and insert it into the paperwork. Then, they discuss Ferguson being an A-class prisoner and her return to Wentworth. Will (Robbie Magasiva) doesn’t want Ferguson back and warns that her return would destabilize the prison. Vera agrees with that. Jake (Bernard Curry) tells Ann that the AV people have finished so she leaves in a hurry. Will follows her and tells her that Winter and Allie (Kate Jenkinson) need to be released soon so he wants to figure out how to make that work.
She suggests moving Marie (Susie Porter) with Lou Kelly because she will protect them. Marie is relocated immediately and quickly harassed by Lou Kelly. Lou asks how they’re going to fix this but Marie doesn’t have an answer. Lou does. She says some of the women are afraid of Marie and she will be able to use that to her advantage. Boomer and the others work in the laundry until they find a mouse. She works to track it down before Vera enters and asks Ruby, Judy, and Boomer to help her with some photocopying work. Judy agrees to help because that will get them access to the wireless network. Reb returns to her cell after getting her HRT shot and she is happier than ever. Boomer takes photos of her buttocks and shows them to the others.
Marie stops them in the hallway and tries to tell Ruby that she was helping her in the bathroom. Meanwhile, Lou and Reb call Trav so they can set up the next stage of their plan. Then, they visit Zaina (Louisa Mignone) and hold a shank to her until she lets them use the phone. They call her brother and demand he deposit 5,000 dollars on their account. While working for the guards, Boomer releases the mouse and that gives Judy enough time to hack into the computer system and find out where Rita is hiding. Yusef transfers the money and saves Zaina from being attacked. Judy gives the address to Ruby. That night, Ann gives her speech and addresses the minister. She goes through a handful of pictures before Boomer’s buttocks pictures are shown.
That ruins everything and enrages Ann. She demands the person responsible be tracked down and punished. Vera immediately talks to the women and tells them that their privileges and day releases are being taken away. This means Ruby won’t be leaving the prison anytime soon. Ruby blames Judy and Boomer. Next, Linda speaks to Ann and thanks her for making the prisoner safer. Ann gets Linda to help her deal with Lou Kelly and other things. They want Lou to find out who was responsible and they agree to move her to laundry. Marie tries to smooth things over with Reb but that isn’t going to happen just yet. Lou confronts Boomer in the bathroom and gets her to admit to being involved in the butt photo fiasco. Then, Lou’s girls enter and hold Boomer until she gives up Judy’s name.
Marie tries to step in and prevent Lou from cutting Boomer’s finger off but Lou tells her to shut up. Ann and Will chat about keeping Ferguson out of Wentworth. Will agrees to move Allie (Kate Jenkinson) out of laundry as long as Ferguson is transferred to Sydney. Will tells Allie about the deal he made moments later and she seems okay with it. He promises that she’ll get back to the laundry eventually but Allie is just thrilled that Ferguson won’t be returning. Lou, Reb, and the others join Ruby and Judy in the laundry moments later. Linda takes Judy to the slot and forces her to strip. Judy fights back by throwing her clothes into Linda’s face. This causes Linda to spray her with pepper spray before Vera rushes down there and stop it from happening.
She tells Linda that she can’t do that but Linda says it was a direct order from Ann. Vera confronts Ann who loses her cool because Judy is a terrorist and deserves whatever she gets. Will tells Linda that a formal complaint has been filed against her and Will threatens to get rid of Linda. However, Ann tells Linda that she would like to start looking for a new governor. Allie is released from the slot and she learns about Judy. She chats with Boomer and Ruby about being moved to laundry and other things. They also agree that something needs to be done immediately. Later that night, Winter checks on Reb who seems to be worried about something. Lou interrupts and tells Marie not to undermine her again and Marie agrees to stay out of her way.
Reb and Lou go to bed together before Reb asks her if she would’ve cut off Boomer’s finger. Lou tells her that she has been in and out of prison so she has learned how to live in there. Reb tells Lou that she isn’t afraid of her. After that, Ruby leaves the prison and meets up with Eddie. Jake reminds them that she needs to be back before 4 PM. Ruby tells Eddie that they’re heading out of town and he tells her he has the burner phone in the car. Allie goes to the laundry and tries to put Lou in her place but that doesn’t happen thanks to Lou’s bigger army. Jake breaks it up before Allie leaves and goes back to the call center. Ruby is dropped off outside of Rita’s place. She sneaks around and speaks to Rita (Leah Purcell) about their father. Ruby encourages Rita to make things right with their father.
Ruby agrees to put her sister on her call list before they separate and Ruby leaves. Next, Allie chats with Boomer and the others about Lou. Winter finds out that Winter doesn’t want to be top dog because most of them end up dead. She is only chasing the money. Ann goes to Vera and explains that her Charlotte was killed in a terror attack and that is why she hates terrorists. She admits it helps to have someone to talk to so Vera agrees to go out drinking with her. The minister calls and that interrupts their conversation. Will overhears Ann’s conversation with the minister and tells her that Ferguson has been declared fit for release. He learns that Ferguson isn’t going to be transferred anywhere but Ann promises it wasn’t her decision. Then, we learn that Ruby hasn’t returned to the prison.
Rita gets a phone call from Jonesy who is with Morelli. They have Ruby and they want Rita to retract her statement against them. Jonesy threatens to kill Ruby as the episode ends.
Wentworth Review
This wasn’t a very exciting episode of Wentworth. We’re going back and forth with the whole thing about Ferguson not being returned to Wentworth when we know that is a lie. They would never have bought her back if they didn’t intend to send her to Wentworth. Then, we have the super hacker Judy Bryant breaking into the computer systems of Protective Custody so they can find out where Rita has been hiding.
It is getting a little more than outlandish by this point. The only thing remotely interesting is the relationship between Marie Winter and Reb Keane. I’d rather have the Cell Block H Marie Winter though because that was one of the best characters in the entire series. Thanks for stopping by! Previous recaps of Wentworth can be found on Reel Mockery.

I dunno if its me or not, but wow does Jacquie play angry SO WELL, urgh i’m furious they underused her for 7 years..
Agree. Was great in Informer as little as she was in it too. The guards had more interesting storylines in Cell Block H. Wish they would develop them a little more. Right now, it is all about the “murder and burial” of Joan Ferguson.
Oh yeah good point Smiles (not an apt name anymore) and Lou are the best to watch act right now. Pamela is amazing but we’re so used to all her mannerisms even her genteel manner is not knew as we’ve seen that before .
