Wentworth Recap Season 4 Episode 10

When the 10th episode begins, Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson) hits the yard. She is totally wrecked on drugs and winds up making a complete fool of herself. Kaz (Tammy Macintosh) and Bea (Danielle Cormack) are forced to step in and put an end to Allie’s craziness. Meanwhile, Jake (Bernard Curry) reassures Will (Robbie Magasiva) that they’ll find and get rid of Kaz’s phone. Jake then runs into Vera (Kate Atkinson) and both confirm they shared a swell night together. Jake is ordered to keep tabs on Ferguson. We switch over to Franky (Nicole da Silva) at the Legal Relief office.

Franky works her magic and manages to get Shayne Butler’s (Hunter Page-Lochard) case moved to their office. She speaks with her boss and convinces her to take a look at his file. Maxine Conway (Socratis Otto) returns to his cell and they immediately begin planning to get Boomer (Katrina Milosevic) pregnant. Allie continues making a clown of herself, so Bea confronts Kaz and the pair blame one another for Allie’s problems. Franky meets with Shayne and learns about his case. Despite some initial reservations, she manages to swing Shayne’s opinion into her favor. He recommends using Aunty Joan as a witness on his behalf.

Jake continues his duties of guarding Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe). Joan goes on a rant about Vera being boring and vanilla. Next, Bea and Maxine are forced to save Allie from Juice (Sally-Anne Upton) and Stella (Bessie Holland). Once they run the women away, Bea speaks with Allie alone and tells her that they’re finished. Doreen (Shareena Clanton) gets a visit from Nash (Luke McKenzie) and Miranda (Janine Atwill). Doreen seems concerned about Joshua becoming too attached to Miranda and her child. She makes her worries clear, but is blown off. Doreen then takes her grievances to Bridget (Libby Tanner), but is unable to receive any assistance.

Meanwhile, Vera meets with Jake in the boiler room and signs off on a few repairs. While there, Vera learns about Joan’s insults and is visibly upset. Boomer and the girls continue planning her pregnancy and attempting to figure out how to get the juices into her special place. Sonia (Sigrid Thornton) suggests that they need a syringe. They put their plan into action. Maxine gets a visit and acquire his frozen sperm, while Boomer attempts to steal syringe from Nurse Lee Radcliffe (Madeleine Jevic). Unfortunately, Boomer is caught and slotted for her troubles. Meanwhile, Liz (Celia Ireland) speaks with Dan (Steve Bastoni) about Sonia. Liz admits she believes Sonia is on to her scheme.

Dan tells her to speak about her own troubles and she may very well get Sonia to open up about hers. Liz does just that in the yard. However, she pretends she murdered out of anger and not in a drunken stupor. With Boomer in the slot, Sonia is once again forced to step in and formulate a new plan. They enlist the assistance of the kitchen staff to pass along the juices to Boomer. Franky speaks with her boss once again and insists the matter is urgent. She places a call to the prosecutor responsible for the case and attempts to move things along a little quicker. Meanwhile, Allie begins losing control, as she is unable to score drugs from any of her dealers.

Allie is approached by Jake, who proposes a deal. He agrees to get her drugs, if she can get him Kaz’s phone. Meanwhile, Doreen places a call to Nash and expresses her concerns once again. She is blown off, while Kaz looks on. Boomer receives the sperm and does the deed. Kaz places a call to her henchmen on the outside and attempts to rectify the Nash situation. She receives a visit from Allie seconds later. In the morning, Allie passes the phone to Jake and gets the drugs in return. Jake heads to the boiler, watches the video of Will, and calls in Vera. Instead of ratting on Will, Jake gets naughty with Vera.

Franky meets with Shayne once more and tells him he needs to find a permanent address and begin looking for a job. He agrees, while also complimenting Franky as a cool girl. Back at the prison, Vera tells Will that Ferguson will be receiving another visit from Shayne. She instructs him to team up with Jake, so they can keep a better eye on the situation. During the conversation, Ferguson agrees to help Shayne find a residence. Doreen speaks with Kaz and learns about her plan to deal with Nash. However, Doreen wants it stopped and instructs Kaz to call it off. Kaz tries to, but is unable to locate her phone.

Doreen is forced to contact Nash and warn of him of possible trouble. Jake gives the cellphone to Will and is thanked for his troubles. Will agrees to buy Jake a drink afterwards. Meanwhile, Allie gets high in the kitchen. Bea runs into Allie, who tells her she brought her back to life and never gave up on her. Bea confirms her story by speaking with Will. With that, Bea decides she needs to help Allie and return the favor. Sonia calls out Liz on her lies. However, Sonia is impressed that she would have enough empathy to make up the story, but says nothing about her own potential crimes. Boomer is released from the hole and gives the other girls the good news.

Vera gets a visit from Bea, who requests for Allie to be moved to her cellblock. Boomer returns to her cell and thanks Sonia, before Bea brings Allie in and puts her in the spare cell.  Bea tells Allie she is going to get clean and will help her along the way. Meanwhile, Doreen gets bad news in the form of a visit from Nash. He reveals he has been kicked out and will be forced to move away to join his family. Doreen doesn’t like the arrangement, but there is nothing she can do about it. Franky is confronted and reprimanded for her actions. Nonetheless, the woman agrees to help.

Franky pays a visit to Shayne and tells him the good news. She also learns about his new dwelling, which happens to be a gift from the Freak. Vera attempts to convince Jake to head out for a drink, but he refuses. Bea helps Allie through her withdrawal, while Jake and Will party at a club. Jake gives Will ecstasy and he takes it. The other women sit outside and chat about Allie’s condition. Sonia insists she is in good hands. That night, Sonia eerily stares at Liz in her cell.

Wentworth Review

This episode of Wentworth was a bit slow and didn’t have a great deal of action. Nonetheless, it did manage to move the story forward marginally. Franky has managed to secure Shayne’s trust and she may very well be able to prevent him from doing something stupid in the future. Bea was forced to face the facts and assist Allie.

Doreen’s wishes finally came back to haunt her and only pushed Joshua and Nash further away. And of course, Boomer and Maxine managed to seal the deal. A slow, but decent, episode. An 8 out of 10 is deserved. Catch up with previous recaps of Wentworth right now.
