Rachel Elliot Too Good To Be True Channel 5

As the episode opens, Rachel (Kara Tointon) shows Liam (Charlie Hodson Prior) his updated room. He asks if they can afford it. She assures him that her money from Elliot (Allen Leech) is enough to cover it. He claims Elliot has agreed to let him work on one of his vehicles. She urges him to take it slow.

Rachel and Liam arrive at Elliot’s mansion with Ginger after she tried to eat the hamster. He promises to take good care of her. Rachel tells him that they are unaccustomed to receiving gifts. He says hopefully they were not offended. She assures him that was not the case. Later, Rachel finds a photo of Elliot and his wife, and a photo of a man, woman, and young boy. She also discovers a burn injury review. Simone Hale (Sara Powell) informs her that she can take tomorrow off but will need to make up the hours of Saturday to clean up after a cocktail party. Rachel asks if she has children. Simone says no before asking about Liam’s father, Keiron (Oliver Devoti). Rachel claims Liam was six weeks old when he last saw Keiron.

Rachel believes Elliot feels sorry for her before questioning why he would be interested in her. Taj Atwal (Jasmine) says she is stunning and suggests he likes her. While looking for Liam’s rucksack at Elliot’s, Rachel sees him get out of the shower. It appears as if he knows she is there. She later tells Jasmine who believes Elliot did it intentionally.

Rachel is cleaning when she hears Elliot’s phone ringing. She takes it to the garage where he and Liam are preparing to work on a gearbox. Later, Elliot invites Rachel to his cocktail party after a former teacher has to cancel. She admits to not being familiar with how to behave around posh people. He denies growing up wealthy. She suggests he was poor like her. He assures her that being poor is nothing to be ashamed of before claiming to dislike small talk. He explains the fundraiser is for the burns charity.

Jasmine does Rachel’s makeup for the cocktail party. Rachel voices concern about saying the wrong thing. Jasmine gives her a pep talk. At the cocktail party, Simone tells Elliot that it was a bad idea to invite Rachel and is relieved she is a no-show. A black car pulls up and Rachel gets out. Later, he offers to let her wear his mother’s necklace. She reluctantly accepts. Martin (Seamus Moran) tells Rachel that Elliot was 21 when he made his first million. He asks how they know each other. She admits to being his housecleaner. Martin cracks up laughing. Simone warns Rachel that she sees her. Rachel asks what she sees. Upon leaving the party, Rachel is approached by Elliot. She denies trying to leave with his mother’s necklace. As she prepares to get in a car, it seems as if he is going to kiss her. Later, Elliot watches Rachel inside her home.

Liam asks Elliot if he can see Ginger. Elliot pulls him away to the garage where he finds a Volkswagen. He says once it is restored, it is his. Liam sobs and runs to the safety of the bathroom. Elliot recalls his mother giving him a mountain bike that he thought was undeserved. He says his mother assures him that he deserved it because he was a good kid. He tells Liam that he is a good kid. Liam opens the bathroom door and apologizes. Later, Rachel asks why he is doing this for her and Liam. He claims to like helping people. She suggests it is like charity. He says Liam reminds him of himself and she his mother.

Rachel and Liam return home to find their flat vandalized. Elliot arrives a short time later. Liam admits to calling him from his new phone. Elliot assures her that the phone is old before asking who vandalized her flat. She says Kieron. Jasmine insists on them staying at her place. Elliot invites them to stay with him for a while. Rachel says they are not a charity case. He agrees to deduct the expense from her pay. Jasmine warns against staying there.

Liam fires up a propane torch without warning. A frantic Elliot grabs him by the shirt and screams at him before extinguishing the torch. Liam runs over the Rachel. Elliot apologizes and asks if they are okay. She suggests it may have been a bad idea. Liam asks to go inside.

Liam is playing with Ginger. Elliot apologizes to Rachel. She assures him that Liam is okay. He tells her that his parents died in a fire when he was 11 like Liam. Later, Liam falls asleep on the sofa. Elliot carries him to bed. She tells him that Kieron is not Liam’s biological father. She escorts him to her room where they make love. Later, he leaves her asleep and goes to sit in Liam’s room.

 

Too Good To Be True Review

Rachel’s flat is vandalized. Elliot convinces her to stay at his place for a while. She reluctantly agrees. Liam starts a propane torch. Elliot panics and raises his voice at him. He tells Rachel that he was 11 when his parents died in a fire. They later get intimate.

Liam gets upset when Elliot gives him a Volkswagen Beetle. Elliot claims to have felt the same way when his mother gave him a mountain bike.

Simone is none too happy with Elliot’s decision to invite Rachel to his fundraiser. She tells Rachel that she sees what she is up to. Elliot loans Rachel his mother’s necklace for the cocktail party.

  1. So far it’s really cheesy and beyond far fetched but par for the course for a Channel 5 production and honestly, my standards are not that high. As long as any show gets me through an evening is OK enough. 👍
