At the start of the episode, Pastor Johan Nickel (John Lynch) travels into Canada. He tells the border guard that he is coming from Mexico. He explains he is a preacher and that is why he drives so much. The guard decides to check for anything potentially illegal. Johan prays as his items are searched. He sends money to a young girl before the guard lets him pass through. Denise (Sarah Podemski) settles into her new job. Jim (Tim Roth) yells for her. Denise speaks with Angela (Genevieve O’Reilly). She offers to go pick up Anna (Abigail Lawrie) for her. Angela pleads with Denise to keep Jim locked up. Nick (Ryan Kennedy) has a good time guarding Jim’s cell.

Elizabeth encourages her to ask Jim for help. Jim arrives and asks Elizabeth to give them privacy.
Jim asks if he killed Whitey. He believes Whitey killed their son and deserved to be killed. Genevieve tells Jim she’ll kill him if he goes near Anna. Jim gives Danny some money for a taxi. Angela visits Sarah the next day. She asks about Anna. Angela learns that Jim is stalking the compound. Sarah promises not to give up Anna. Angela admits Jim is wicked when he is drunk. Later, Sarah speaks with Anna about safety. They speak about faith as well. Johan enters the conversation and tells Anna about being baptized. She is told she will not be able to go back to her old life after it. She learns that Rosa hasn’t been baptized yet either. Anna believes that Johan is afraid. He explains that he is not afraid of Jim. He doesn’t say who scares him. Kids bang on the camper window. One falls and Jim approaches him with the gun. He asks the boy if he is okay. He helps him up and notices the bracelet on his arm.
Thomas throws snowballs at Johan’s house. Jim urges him on. Anna emerges moments later. Anna pleads with Jim to leave her alone. She doesn’t want to leave. Jim rams his truck into the church. He jumps out with the gun in his hand. He confronts Anna and laughs. He compliments her hat before kissing her on the cheek.
Tin Star Review
This season of Tin Star isn’t getting any better. I was hoping it would, but that isn’t happening. I am not even sure where the writers came up with the cult story line. It is really out of the blue. Everything from the previous season has been thrown into the trash. Everything is new and the story just isn’t up to par. It is not interesting or compelling in the least. I’ve downloaded the entire season so I will definitely finish watching. I just wish it wasn’t so dang painful.
Denise and Nick are the two only semi-likable characters and they’re barely shown. Tin Star just isn’t for me. I do hope the recaps are beneficial for you though. The episode scores a 6 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Tin Star now.
Jay Skelton is a fan of all television shows and movies. He tries his best to keep up with the latest foreign television shows and movies. Jay loves skinny dipping in the dark too.
Just to say thanks reelmockery guy. Ur views are direct and honest..and ur right this series is no where near as gripping as first. Wont bother wasting my time ‘perservering’…life’s too short 😉
Thanks again tho for your useful feedback ..appreciated👍🏼
You’re welcome. I like a lot of shows that other people don’t. This just doesn’t happen to be one of them. Sadly, people take that personal and believe it is a personal attack on them. It isn’t. Just opinions that shouldn’t make a difference one way or another.
Thanks for stopping by!
