At the police station, Teresa denies knowing Bulger. Lisa suggests Bulger is involved in Amy Reynolds’ disappearance. Frightened, Teresa prepares to leave when Lisa says he may have murdered her mum, Janice Wallace (Maura Foley). Teresa claims to have been five minutes from home when Bulger abducted her. She says everyone is familiar with Bulger. She believes he would have killed her if Lisa didn’t rescue her. In the hallway, David tells Lisa that it will be difficult to keep Bulger detained without Teresa’s statement. He says Chris Wallace (Stuart Dunne) and Billy Miller (Paul Ward) were arrested simultaneously in 1981. He adds that Billy and Chris were affiliated with the same gang. He suggests Lisa ask Chris about Billy who was never questioned in Janice’s murder. Lisa is at her car when an excited Susan approaches asking if Amy was found. Lisa says it was another girl before telling her that the suspect will be questioned soon.

Brennan tells him that the witness claims Teresa wasn’t a willing participant. Bulger assures him that Teresa is keeping quiet before demanding an attorney.

Chris describes Janice’s killer as “calculating” and “methodical”. He admits to believing Bulger is not the killer. He professes to still love Janice. Lisa asks him about Billy Miller. He says Billy was a gangster. She attributes Janice’s murder to his gang affiliation. He assures her that the gangsters that he knew did not kill women.

The Vanishing Triangle Review

My optimism has gone from 10 to zilch. The series started out strong, getting weaker with each episode. The writer(s) got sidetracked somewhere between the start and finish of the screenplay.

The episode is the weakest so far. Only a few points worth mentioning. Mandy who is dating an older man gets abducted by a man possibly linked to Janice’s murder. The man utilizes her to lure Susan to a car park. He forces Lisa to pick one of the girls to live.

The episode deserves a 4.8. Get more The Vanishing Triangle recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by donating. Join our forum to discuss the latest TV shows, movies, and celebrity news. Our onsite advertising builds brand awareness, click the link to learn more.
