House Of Cards – The episode opens with Thony (Elodie Yung) hurriedly changing her clothes when she hears laughing coming from Luca’s (Sebastien LaSalle, Valentino LaSalle) room. She opens his bedroom door to see a blonde girl facing Luca. The blonde hair reminds her of a wig that Nadia Morales (Eva De Dominici) was wearing. In a flashback, Ramona Sanchez (Kate Del Castillo) stabs Nadia and two men put her in the back of a van. The girl turns to reveal she is Jaz (Faith Bryant) wearing one of Fiona’s (Martha Millan) wigs. After Luca is tucked in, Thony gulps down a glass of tequila. Fiona arrives home desperately concerned about Chris’ (Sean Lew) welfare. She tells Thony that he went to the potential workplace, Paradise, of Camila (Esmeraldo Camargo) and he is not answering his phone. Thony says Ramona’s charity event is scheduled to take place at one of the Paradise locations. She claims Ramona killed Nadia and vows to take her down.
Jorge Sanchez (Santiago Cabrera) storing a wooden box in the safe. He reminds her that the charity event is the bulk of their annual gross revenue. She claims to have eliminated a threat before explaining how she will utilize the charity event to eliminate the Feds. He warns against FBI agents and suggests they give them the individuals corrupting their routes. She refuses to change her mind because it is Derek’s plan. He assures her that the Feds are going to bury them.
ASAC Katherine Russo (Liza Weil) shows Jeremy Dolan (Brandon Jay McLaren) a photo of a deceased Nadia. He says Sin Cara is sending them a warning. She says at least Ramona is unaware of his team. He says catching Sin Cara’s donors in the act is not enough to arrest the leader. She shows him documents from forensics accounting. He receives a call from Thony.
Chris, Camila, and other undocumented immigrants are being held hostage in a room. Camila has an infected burn on her arm. He bangs on the door to try to get someone’s attention.
Jeremy informs Thony that the shell companies utilized to funnel money from the cartel are linked to Jorge. She assures him that Ramona is Sin Cara, not Jorge. He says their plan is to arrest Jorge at the charity event. She complains about Ramona walking free and vows to stop her without the Feds. Later, Thony informs Jorge that Ramona stabbed Nadia to death. He asks if Ramona knows he sent money to Nadia. Thony claims Ramona is setting him up and the Feds have evidence to take him down. Stunned, Jorge asks if she is working with the FBI. She tells him about Jeremy posing as a plumber. He is in denial. She says he will be arrested at Ramona’s charity event and urges him to consider Violeta (Olivia Frida Filomena). He assures her that Ramona will take care of her if he goes to jail. Thony asks if truly wants Violeta to grow up in Ramona’s care.
Jorge asks Teresa Morales (Jacqueline Obradors) to take care of Violeta if something happens to him. She asks what happened between him and Ramona. Elsewhere, Chris bangs on the door until two men enter and threaten to take Camila. He tells them that she needs to see a doctor. The man grabs Chris. Camila splashes a liquid on his face. The man grabs his face and drops to the floor. Camila and Chris flee. JD Harris (Ryan Sands) and Fiona arrive to look for Chris. Fiona is in the kitchen when Chris and Camila come running in. They hide. A worker (Noraly Cazares) pours chopped carrots on the floor. Fiona grabs a broom and pretends to sweep up the carrots. When the men arrive, she convinces them to turn around. She, Chris, and Fiona race toward the exit.
Thony convinces Jorge to meet with Jeremy. Jorge learns that the FBI has evidence linking him to shell companies utilized to funnel money from the cartel to Sin Cara. Jeremy offers Jorge immunity in exchange for evidence connecting Ramona to the cartel. Jorge claims the safe is protected by Ramona’s fingerprint. Jeremy agrees to pull her fingerprint. After Jorge leaves, Jeremy warns Thony that Jorge is not trustworthy. She assures him that Jorge will come through. Later, Camila tells Thony that she will identify people connected to the cartel. Thony claims Jeremy promised to find Gizelle (Natasha Elias). Fiona questions if it will ever be over.
At the charity event, Ramona tells Jorge that she killed Nadia. She denies blaming Thony for not going through with it. She agrees to give him some control of the operation if he helps her eliminate the threat. Thony, Jeremy, and several other agents are setting up in a room above the casino. Jeremy informs Thony of his plan to approach Ramona as a potential buyer. He shows her how to follow Jorge’s lead and mark cartel donors. A short time later, Thony passes the security checkpoint into the casino.
In a secured area, Russo, Fiona, Chris, and Camila are watching live security footage from the casino. Camila is to identify people connected to the cartel. Elsewhere, Mats Litecky (Scott Bailey) tracks Jorge and Thony in the casino. Ramona reminds Thony that she is to point out all FBI agents. She hands an FBI agent posing as a waitress (Maddi Lucas) a casino chip. From a secured location, Jeremy says they have her fingerprint. Jorge introduces Thony to Corey Davis (Jaret Sacrey), owner of Lumus Farms and a cocaine dealer. Mats finds a $526,980 wager placed by Corey. Elsewhere, Camila tells Russo that she worked at Lumus Farms last week and the money was utilized to pay off her passage debt.
Jorge introduces Thony to AJ Hynes (Bradley Snedeker). Thony marks him. Mats finds his $423,410 wager. Camila calls him “Mr. Paradise.” The owner of Sitwell Steel, George Kowalski (Michael Gilmore) is marked as a cartel donor. Camila claims her friend worked at Sitwell Steel. Patrice Keegan, owner of Keegan Industries, places a $503,190 bet. Thony marks Corey Lawrence. After retrieving the chip with Ramona’s fingerprint from a tray, Jorge claims to have identified all the cartel donors. Thony suggests he is backing out of the deal with the FBI. He admits to only going along with it to obtain Ramona’s fingerprint for the safe. Thony says family means nothing to Ramona before alerting the undercover waitress that they are moving to Plan B. Jorge joins Jeremy, Thony, and Ramona for a game of poker. Jeremy introduces himself as Austin Young. He tells Ramona that his company, Apex Foundation built the luxury development in Summerland. Jorge questions his claim but Jeremy has a quick response. Jeremy tells Ramona that Corey Davis told him that the partnership offered great benefits. When Thony says he is showing his cards, Ramona takes any partnership opportunity off the table and insists he stays.
When Jeremy drops out of the card game, Thony suggests he is a federal agent. Seeing his winning hand, Ramona believes her. From the bar, Jeremy sees Atticus (Serglu Iva) approach Ramona and hurriedly leaves the casino. Jorge accesses Ramona’s safe to find adoption papers for Violeta and a plane ticket for her under the name, Rosita Perez. The wooden box contains a knife. Jeremy finds the room utilized by the FBI vandalized and Mats dead. Atticus attacks him. A struggle ensues. Thony enters to find Atticus trying to stab Jeremy. Grabbing a fire extinguisher, she hits him and Jeremy finishes him. She retrieves Atticus’ handgun. A short time later, the FBI raids the charity event. Ramona flees before Jeremy arrests AJ. From a remote location, Chris, Russo, Camila, and Fiona are watching the arrests when Gizelle enters the casino.
Thony is waiting on the roof with a gun when Ramona arrives. Ramona assures her that her operation will go on. Thony reminds her that she killed Nadia. Ramona says Nadia’s blood is all over her van. Jorge approaches and accuses Ramona of setting him up. An LA Police Department helicopter looms overhead. Jorge hands over the knife utilized to kill Nadia to the police. While being handcuffed, Ramona asks what kind of man turns on his own family. He says she was taking Violeta away from him. Russo arrests Ramona for the murder of Nadia. A short time later, Jorge assures Thony that the cartel will not harm her or her family. He offers her a job but she declines.
Chris changes the dressing on Camila’s arm. Luca finds them kissing. Gizelle embraces Camila and Chris. Luca gives Thony a gift that he found outside the door. The gift is a phone from Derek. The phone rings. Thony refuses to get involved with Derek and the cartel. The episode ends.
The Cleaning Lady Season 3 Finale Review
Jorge refuses to take down Ramona until he finds adoption papers for Violeta. Ramona planned to let Jorge go down as Sin Cara and send Violeta away. Jorge gives the knife utilized to kill Nadia to the police. Russo arrests Ramona for murder.
Thony declines Jorge’s offer to work with the cartel but she may not get off so easy. Derek has a phone left on her doorstep. He tries to call her but she declines to answer.
Camila has a hand in helping Thony and Jorge take down six wealthy businessmen. She is reunited with Gizelle.
The taking down of Sin Cara felt a bit too easy. Technologies are thrown into the mix to give the impression of a complex process. In all actuality, it turns out to be a mere he said, she said case.
It’s not over for Thony. With a season four in the works, she will surely find herself back in the cartel grind. Otherwise, the story would die here. The continuance will add to Thony’s life as a cartel Cleaning Lady with new twist plots in hopes of keeping viewers tuned in.
