Confessions – As the episode opens, Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) and Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray) arrive at the hospital where firemen are investigating a fire alarm. Connie Boyle (Lauren Hammersley) alerts Rafe Vadas (Dakota Taylor) that someone lit a cigarette in a patient’s room. Pointing at a radiographic image of Harry Sully’s Sullivan’s (Scott Patterson) brain, Maggie says it is a slight volume deficit in the cerebral cortex. She adds that Sully’s albumin level is low and his liver enzymes are elevated. Sully has Wernicke encephalopathy, a condition common in alcoholics, caused by vitamin B1 deficiency. A nurse informs Dr. Rabney (Sharleen Kalayil) that Sully left the hospital with another man. Hearing the description, Cal suggests it was Frank Cranebear (Tom Jackson).
Instead of returning to the outpost, Frank and Sully go fishing. Elsewhere, Lola Gunderson (Amalia Williamson) informs Edna Cranebear (Andrea Menard) that she is going to delve into her accident with Cal’s help. Edna questions if she is doing the right thing. Lola suggests finding the person responsible may help her. Back on the road, Frank threatens to return Sully to the hospital if he refuses to contact Edna and Maggie. Utilizing the radio, Sully tells Edna about their fishing plans. When she demands they come home, he pretends to lose signal. A short time later, Cal and Maggie arrive looking for them. Edna tells her about their fishing trip. No cellphone or radio, Sully and Frank are out of reach. Maggie updates them on Sully’s condition when a hurricane alert rings across their phones.

Sydney says she is here now.

Maggie questions if she is the blame for his drinking again. Edna assures her that no one is to blame but Sully. Elsewhere, Frank urges Sully to let his inner light guide him. Sully reluctantly closes his eyes.
Ellis tells Lola about her and John’s first meeting when she needed help with a flat tire. John claims it changed his life when she asked him out. Elsewhere, Sully recalls his separation from young Maggie Sullivan (Polly Gallant-Mclean and her mother. As an adult, Maggie asks why she was never good enough for him. He walks away with Frank in tow.
As the storm picks up, Connie finds Alysa suffering an ankle injury. Elsewhere, Sydney warns Maggie that one of the campers is refusing to leave. Maggie says it is Pete before heading out into the storm. Edna informs Sydney that Rob hasn’t dropped off the propane. Cellular service and landline are out.
After assessing Alysa’s ankle, Connie determines it isn’t fractured. While Connie wraps her ankle, Alysa claims to have stayed because her money is wrapped up in the place. Connie assures her it isn’t worth her life before offering to take her home. Alysa accepts the offer. Elsewhere, Sully complains about feeling ill. Frank rushes out to get his truck.

Connie alerts Rafe that the hurricane has been upgraded to a Category 2. Cal and Rafe head out into the storm to search for Pete and Maggie.
