Significant Others Review

The show was a major disappointment from start to finish. The dialogue would’ve been better written by preschoolers. The lack of character development resulted in a confusing episode. There was no explanation as to how the family made it to the point of Sarah’s disappearance.

The character interaction was nonexistent except between Hanna and Ciaran. Even that was to the point of impersonal. One thing is for sure, the animosity could be cut with a knife.

The cinematography was subpar and the lighting poor.

The acting was nothing to write home about.

Hanna nearly drowned while trying to rescue her mum. George helped her to the shore on her surfboard. A search party doesn’t turn up anything. In the meantime, Ciaran and Hanna have their lives turned upside down. They aren’t keen on the idea of sharing their home with Ursula, Wayne, and Claire. Since they are underage, their options are limited.

While trying to sort out what happened, Munroe encounters a dysfunctional family. Claire and Ursula had animosity toward Sarah because she inherited the family home. Not much else was disclosed about the family.

The episode deserves a 5. Get more Significant Others recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by clicking the link.
