The show begins with Sienna (Nkechi Simms) visiting the Spring.
Halil (Jaye Ersavas) complains to Jaeden (Michael Boahen) about his boss. Jaeden suggests he is “racist” when Anthony (Tom Moutchi) pulls up in a car. They are intrigued by his fancy car. Halil reaches out to touch the car when Anthony intervenes. His attempts to convince Anthony that he is a driver falls on deaf ears. After Jean (Hannah Walters) arrives, they prepare to enter the Pupil Referral Unit.
Jean orders Halil and Jaeden to stop talking during class. Ignoring her, Jaeden tells Halil about being frightened when male paintballers showed up out of nowhere. Halil assures him that it would’ve been madness if he had been there. Belle (Pia Somersby) reminds him that it was only a game of paintball while applying her makeup. Halil scolds her for butting in on their conversation. When Jean calls Halil out for talking, Belle warns her that he hasn’t taken his medicine. Jean asks her to put her cosmetics away. Belle explains she has a photo shoot, which could be her “big break.” Jean admits to being excited for her but reminds her that she is in the classroom. Halil tells Jean that it isn’t a photo shoot, just school pictures. Slamming her laptop shut, Belle angrily grabs a pair of scissors before making her exit.
As they walk to class, Anthony assures Sienna that Pru isn’t all that bad when a pair of scissors goes flying through the air. After pulling the scissors out of the wall, he intervenes in a dispute between Halil and Belle. He orders Halil to take a seat, but he refuses, calling Belle “violent.” Sienna quietly watches it all go down from the doorway. Jaeden suggests Halil take a seat if he’s still interested in playing paintball tomorrow. Behind Jaeden’s back, Belle shoots him the bird. He reluctantly takes a seat, leaving Belle to celebrate the outcome.
When Sienna greets Jaeden, Anthony asks if they have met before. Jaeden questions why she is at Pru. Anthony explains how they are both there for the same reason. Halil asks where she will be sitting. Belle sarcastically tells her that he has “special needs.”
Anthony speaks with Mr. Ozgijan about Halil’s behavior. He explains how he believes Halil not taking his meds is problematic. Mr. Ozgijan assures him that everything is all right when Halil admits he isn’t taking them. Speaking in his native language, Mr. Ozgijan unsuccessfully tries to convince him “dead.” He eventually relents but tells Anthony that his father approved him not taking the medicine. Anthony doesn’t look like he is completely convinced.
Sienna asks Belle about her being banned from school. Belle says it was alleged that she stabbed a compass in her teacher’s hand. Sienna asks if she is being series. She claims the teacher said her mother should be ashamed of her. They skip PE to do something else.
Jaeden explains to Halil that there might be people who have excess energy. Halil asks like who as he returns to doing pushups at a fast pace. Jaeden admits he and Sienna when to primary school together before she went to Rose Park. Halil asks if she is connected to his brother. Jaeden tells him everything is calm. Halil assures him that he has his back against the ops as he pulls out his switchblade comb.
While doing her nails, Belle admits Halil is annoying but blames his “ABCD thing.” Sienna corrects her by saying “ADHD.”
Halil and Anthony are playing ball when Belle and Sienna finally show up. Jean tries to convince Halil to join them, but she doesn’t want to get sweaty. When she assures her that the exercise will make her look and feel good, Belle takes it like she is calling her “fat.” In the meantime, Halil accuses Anthony of cheating when he strikes out. He then ridicules Sienna when she fails to hit the ball. Jean hits the ball on the first toss. The ball pummels Belle in the face. Halil and Jaeden crack up laughing. Belle removes her hands to see them covered in blood.
A boy is telling Jaeden about getting into a fight when Sienna asks to speak with him alone. She asks what’s wrong with Halil. He asks why she cares. She warns that he is going to knock them out of playing paintball. She suggests he force him to take his meds. He accuses her of asking him to drug his friend. When she holds up what looks like a stolen keycard, he reminds her of how she schemed in the past. She sits quietly with a smile on her face. He admits to feeling relieved when she left school.
Jean contacts Belle’s mum, Gemma (Laura Smyth) to inform her of the accident. When Gemma finds out Belle is going to be home tonight, she asks for a bunch of favors. Belle is called “selfish” when she complains.
Sienna breaks into Anthony’s office to steal Halil’s meds. Anthony walks in to find her there. He demands to know how she got access to his office. Jaeden claims they were looking for Jean to return the keycard they found.
Sienna asks Jaeden how they will get Halil to take his medicine. Jaeden informs her that she is in it alone. Halil approaches to question why he is with the ops. He goofs around by trying to grab Sienna’s drink before aggravating a couple of other students. Sienna crushes a couple of tablets. Jaeden is reluctant to do it but when he sees how Halil is tormenting the other students, he relents. He pours the crushed tablets into Sienna’s drink. She hands the spiked drink to Halil. He drinks it straight down and burps.
Belle tells Jean that she refuses to do the photoshoot scheduled for today. Jean offers to touch up her face to ensure she does it.
Halil prepares to play table tennis when his meds kick in. He asks Jaeden why he cannot feel his feet.
A very mellow Halil imagines he is driving Anthony’s cool car while he gets his picture taken. Everyone gathers for a group photo. After Sienna points out that Jaeden has a unibrow, he asks if it can be photoshopped. Belle isn’t too thrilled when she sees her black eye. Halil has gone missing.
Jean edits Belle’s black eye in the class photo. Belle asks if she could do the same thing to her injured nose.
Jaeden is tripping out about Halil who is still missing. They see him walking toward Anthony’s car.
Belle tries to convince Jean to give her a tan in the class photo, but she refuses.
Jaeden and Sienna watch as Halil skids Anthony’s car around and around the parking lot. Anthony emerges from the building to capture what’s happening. Emerging from the car, Halil tells Anthony that his car tried to escape. He drops the car keys in his hand before giving him a hug.
Belle takes it upon herself to edit her photo.
Anthony scolds Jaeden and Sienna for drugging Halil. Sienna points out that the medicine belonged to Halil. Anthony warns her that Halil could’ve died. She continues to be sassy when Jaeden orders her to shut up. She accepts all the blame for drugging Halil.
Sienna informs Jaeden of her being required to complete a counseling class. They encounter three guys who she eventually leaves with. Jaeden takes off running. As they walk away, one of the guys recognizes Jaedenas the guy who had her brother.
Anthony helps Halil get home when his parents pull up. He tries to explain what happened but is cut off by an irate mother. Halil tells him that his mother called him a “son of a bit**.”
Jean tells Anthony that she figured Sienna would have gotten excluded. He asks what good it would’ve done. She warns him of what will happen when Ofsted returns, and Sienna’s behavior hasn’t improved. He assures her that learning always takes time. She gives him the class photo before leaving. Looking at it, he starts laughing as the episode comes to an end.
Pru Review
The plot is interesting enough, but the execution is terrible. The slang dialogue is confusing and borderline cringeworthy. Unless you are willing to read subtitles and translate the terminology, don’t bother. The show has too much going against it to be even close to decent.
Even with a weak script and dialogue, the cast should be commended for their effort. To add insult to the already moronic dialogue, viewers are subjected to constant f-bombs.
The excellent cinematography can’t make up for the uncompelling script. The manner in which the show addresses adolescent mental health is inappropriate. According to Unicef, an estimated one in every seven (166 million) teenagers experienced some type of mental health issue in 2019. Some of the teens were expected to have a lifetime mental disorder while others would fully recover.
The show could’ve been good. There is still time for improvement.
The episode deserves a 5.5. Get more Pru recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by clicking on the link.

Disagree with this. I work in a London school and the dialogue is pretty accurate. The intended audience wouldn’t need subtitles. Think they cover some of the issues pretty well too. The ADHD story where the kid won’t take his medication is pretty spot on too. They cover more stuff through the episodes too. Think the series gets better and better.
Hey there and thanks for stopping by. Very interesting to hear your take on this. The ADHD story was a good touch and something that has been going on for a long time at least since I was in high school. Remember at least one kid who didn’t want to take his medicine and would do anything to get out of it. Looking forward to the remaining episodes.
