He says exactly. She believes someone pressured Bram into selling the house. Turning to look at him, she asks if he had something to do with it. He asks if she would believe him if he denied it.
In a flashback – Wendy (Buket Komur) is with Bram at Rav’s to sign the documents to sell the house. He refuses to get out of the car until she gives him his fake passport. Rav (Jay Saighal) hands him a document for his bank account information. Wendy hands him a paper, with their account information. To explain the paper, she tells Rav her husband, Bram, is forgetful.
Wendy watches from the car as the movers empty the house. She receives a text from Toby asking how the process is going. She informs him of the house being cleaned otu.
Toby emerges from the bathroom in a robe while Fi lies in the bed.
Bram looks at a photo of him and Fi. Wendy stops at the Waverly Real Estate office to drop off the house keys. Waiting in the car, Bram tells Toby everything is done. Toby asks about the money. He says it will take several hours. Toby promises to give him the fake passport and some money once the deposit goes through. Fi tells Toby she needs to email some paperwork on her laptop to her workplace. He suggests someone else to it. Claiming to have the only copy, she tells him it is pertinent for her to get home. He convinces her to stay with sex.
Wendy drops Bram off at his apartment.
Fi arrives home to find movers packing boxes into her house.
Wendy is having a slice of pizza when Toby calls her to alert of Bram’s refusing to answer his phone calls. She is standing in front of the apartment building when Toby hurriedly pulls up. He asks her where is at. She claims to have seen him a few hours ago. He tells her the deposit hasn’t gone through. She tells him Bram gave it to Rav. Grabbing her by the shirt, he asks if she is screwing with him. She swears they never made a deal. He demands to see Bram’s passport. The passport is gone.
Bram checks in at the airport.
In the present – Toby asks Fi where Bram is at. When she tries to get out of the car, she discovers the door is locked. Grabbing her face, he threatens to abduct her boys if he doesn’t get the money. She agrees. He orders her to get out of his car. As he pulls out, she stares in horror.
She enters Bram’s apartment to find all the paperwork for the house. The picture of her and Bram lays on the table. She accidentally knocks a wine glass on the floor. She scoops the pieces of broken glass fragments in her hand. As she tosses them in the trash, she discovers what looks like Bram’s burner phone.
Bram appears to be in a hotel. He takes his medicine.
Fi finds messages asking about the money. A message alerts of her leaving the hotel early on her way home. The burner phone rings. A text, “Bram I know you are there” pops up on the phone. When she picks up the phone another message, “I can pop round pay your boys a visit. Is this what you want” pops up. She sends a return message, “Meet me at the flat.” Another message demanding to know where the money is at pops up on the phone. She sends a return message, claiming to have the money at the flat. She receives another message, claiming the flat is unsafe and Fi has been to the house. She sends a text to tell the individual she will only be at the flat another 30 minutes before she leaves. She says do you want the money.
Bram is on a laptop in the hotel. He conducts an online search for the Geneva Alliance Bank address. A Swiss bank worker (Caroline Vanier) asks him to come back. She looks at his ID before turning her laptop around to show the balance, €1,791,159.00, of the account. She gives him a document to sign.
Fi is at the flat when the doorbell rings. Mike alerts he is downstairs. She permits him access to the building. As he enters the flat, he sees Fi. She tells him there is nowhere else for her to live. He informs her of his meeting with Bram. She claims Bram texted her to say he would be there soon. He doesn’t believe her. She offers to leave, but he refuses. He accepts her offer of a glass of wine. She reminds him of their first date. He calls her very forgiving toward Bram. She accuses him of forcing Bram to sell their house. He informs her of their road rage incident. She remembers the 8-year-old girl who died. He tells her that Bram didn’t care that the little girl died. She tells him he blackmailed Bram.
Wendy sends Mike a text. Fi questions her identity. He denies he has a relationship with Wendy. She asks if anything about his life is real. He says it was a small price to pay for the money. She claims to feel raped. Shrugging it off, he asks if Bram said how long it would be before he got there. He demands to see the message from Bram. She lies about wiping it. He utilizes her phone to call the burner phone. She tries to grab it, but he stops her. He finds a knife hiding underneath her bag. He yelps in pain. He asks if she thought he would change. She tells him she really trusted him. Yelping in pain, he says now you know no one is worth your trust.
She accuses him of tearing her children and marriage apartment. He accepts the blame. As he doubles over in pain, he lays the knife on the countertop. He demands to know what she has done to him before falling to the ground. She grabs her belongings while he pleads for help. Getting in his face, she asks him if he can see her sadness. When she tries to leave, he grabs her. A struggle ensues. She locks herself in the bathroom. His pounding on the door stops. She slowly emerges from the restroom to see his body slumped on the floor. She gets a closer look at him to see what looks like vomitus on the floor near his mouth.
Bram searches the Internet for information on Europe’s transportation system.
Fi calls Merle for help. Merle arrives at the apartment. She asks Fi what happened. Fi tells her Toby is Mike and how he blackmailed Bram to make him sell the house. She says they have been sleeping together for months. Merle asks what she did to Toby. She admits to giving him her sleeping medicine and Bram’s antidepressants. Merle asks why she did it. She tells her about Toby threatening her boys’ lives. She pleads with Merle to tell her what to do. Merle asks if the police have been notified. Fi asks if she should contact the police. Merle reminds her of Coby’s dead body. She suggests Fi tell the police about Toby’s threats toward her children. Fi explains how she crushed up the pills and put them in wine. She says that is premeditated murder. Merle asks if anyone else knows.
Merle tells her she doesn’t know Mike Fuller, just Toby. Fi reminds her of how she has slept with him for months. Merle says not Mike, just Toby. She calls Toby a stranger and Bram’s dodgy friend. Merle suggests she blame it all on Bram. She says Bram and Toby fought over the money. Fi asks what if Bram is back home searching for her. Merle assures her Bram is gone, along with the money. She says they have two options, confess or cover it up when the doorbell rings. Toby’s phone rings. Fi says it is her, she is outside. Fi suggests she go out and talk to Wendy. Merle says they need to dump the phone because it has her phone number stored in it. Wendy gets in the car and starts the engine. She sees Toby’s car and changes her mind. Fi cleans up the flat. Merle dissuades her from taking the burner phone. She reminds her of how she utilized it to contact Toby. Merle says let the police find it in a week or so. Fi says she must live there.
Before Merle leaves, she reminds Fi how Toby and Mike are two different people. Fi asks why she is helping her. She says because I’m your friend. Merle takes her phone and knife to dump. Fi tosses the photo of her and Bram in the trashcan. After 30 minutes she calls the police.
Bram is on the laptop in his motel room.

At the police station, Fi is interviewed. DI Lucy Myers (Allison Mackenzie) asks if Bram is violent. She says no. Myers asks if Bram is on medicine. Fi says antidepressants. Myers asks if she ever met Mike Fuller before. Fi admits he came to her house looking for Bram. Myers asks what he wanted. She denies knowing anything. The officer asks what she was doing at the flat. She says it is her only place of residence.
Bram emerges from the hotel room.
Myers tells Fi they believe Mike and Bram were involved in a real estate fraud scheme. Fi denies seeing a burner phone at the flat.
Bram is walking down a sidewalk.
Fi arrives at Merle’s house. She tells her everything went okay. Merle asks if the police mentioned her. Fi says the officer pitied her. Fi says there may be hope in getting some of the money back. Fi puts the kids to bed. Leo cries when he thinks they will never see Bram again.
Fi receives a notification of a deposit in her bank account while she shares a drink with Merle. The doorbell rings.
Bram walks toward the river.
DI Lucy Myers plays a recording from Bram. He identifies himself before saying the message is a suicide note/confession. Bram walks into the river as the recording plays. He admits to being present at the wreck and how Mike blackmailed him. Bram is in the water up to his chest. He says the money was returned to Fi who had no knowledge of the fraud scheme. He explains how Mike took advantage of a vulnerable Fi. He says Fi thought Mike was Toby. He accepts his guilt. We see the water, with Bram nowhere in sight.
A police officer speaks with Merle while Fi is put in a cruiser. The police cruiser drives away. We see the house as the episode comes to an end.
Our House Review
This is one of the most disappointing finales I have ever seen. Even though the series only had four episodes, it was prolonged misery. Nothing truly happened in the finale that made it remarkable. Merle’s ludicrous plan was never going to work. Why she was so adamant about deflecting the blame on Bram is questionable. Did she have some animosity toward him after their short fling?
What I don’t understand is why they didn’t lure Wendy into the flat and set up a homicide-suicide scene. They could have also disposed of Toby’s body and probably gotten away with it.
Fi was obviously confused, but the way she used Bram was inexcusable. If she hadn’t been so cold toward him, he might have opened up to her. Her unapproachable personality is why Bram suffered alone. She was selfish with their home and possessions, even though he contributed to their purchase. With this said, he did opt to cheat on her. She was all about forgiving Merle even though she admitted to being the pursuer.
In the final scene, Weruche Opia’s performance was questionable. She kept looking around as if someone was watching them. I thought someone was going to pop around the door at any second.
A dissatisfying finale, nonetheless.
The finale deserves a 5.5. Get more Out House recaps here. Support ReelMockery by clicking the link.
