“Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” a reimaging of the 2005 comedy film of the same name, is scheduled to debut on February 2, 2024, on Prime Video. The eight-part series, set in Manhattan, follows the lives of a man and woman turned secret agents and husband and wife.

Maya Erskine, best known for her role in PEN15, will portray Jane Smith. In the 2005 film, Angelina Jolie played Jane Smith. The role of John Smith will be played by American actor and singer, Donald Glover (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the Lazarus Effect, The Martian).

While navigating dangerous spy missions, John and Jane’s marriage becomes much more than a stipulation for their new jobs.

Other members of the cast include John Turturro, Tamara Torres (Marla), Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, and Ralphy Lopez (Marla’s boyfriend).
