As the fifth episode of MILF of Norway begins, Lene (Mariann Hole) and Lars (Trond Fausa) talk about how nice it is now that the bathroom is done. Lars goes under the sheets for a little fun until Mons (Fridtjof Beer Roland) enters their bedroom. Later, Lene checks her InsideFans account and finds that she’s received zero tips. Mons turns her down when she offers him a ride. Lars believes they traumatized him. He tries to get intimate with Lene who says she has to work. Next, Emrik (Kim Falck) meets Lene who tells him she’s nearly reached 200 followers. Emrik asks if she’s chatting with them. Lene reveals one guy is willing to pay 100 dollars to put a hamster on her kitty.

Lene blocked him although Emrik argues she needs to take care of her customers. Lene suggests he could be a rapist while Emrik argues she doesn’t know that. He goes on to say Lene has to find a way to cooperate with them because they can get pictures and videos for free anywhere. Lene shows him her grandmother’s tools. She incorporates them into her new pictures. At school, a girl asks Mons to get him a pair of vintage Nike shoes. She doesn’t bother telling him her size though. Lene learns that her competition and new pictures aren’t doing well. Emrik urges her to chat with them. He tries to give her advice for dealing with her fans. Before Emrik leaves, he asks her to write something nice to her fans.

Mons goes to a clothing store where he asks the cashier about cool shoes for women. He takes a picture of cool, pricey shoes for Emilie. Mons buys them. Lars and PM wait for Aimen to arrive. Lars learns that Aimen is in 10th grade. Once Aimen arrives, he explains he made the song to encourage people to volunteer as a football coach. His lawyer says he volunteers for the U10 team and loves his town district. Aimen claims not to have heard the song before. He doesn’t really know who PM is. PM calls that BS since he believes Aimen knows him and his song. Lars says they’ll deal with this later. Lene tries to respond to Stud97. Mons records a video of himself with the shoes. Lars picks up Aleksandra (Hibba Najeeb).

Later, Lene speaks to Lars about whether she’s emotionally illiterate like Emrik suggested. Lars doesn’t want to have sex so Lene messages Stud. The next day, Stud asks her to send him a picture of herself. Lene speaks to her father on video chat. Lene reminds him they never talked about what it was like for him when her mom died. He claims he wasn’t alone because he had multiple agencies and was busy back then. He goes on to say Brit isn’t coming home because she wants to stay there in the heat. Lars calls Aleksandra to say he found something that belongs to her in his car. He’ll return her hair tie on Monday. She reveals she was granted the funding. She’s going to celebrate with her family at a Pakistani restaurant today. After the call, Kikki and Pal come over with alcohol.

They tell Lars and Lene that they’re going to renew their vows. They’re also to be the best man and maid of honor again. Lene wants to get changed first. Kikki believes something is up with her. In private, they talk about it and Kikki argues she deserves to have fun. Later, Lars lets everyone listen to PM’s song that was supposedly plagiarized. Mons goes outside with the shoes. Other kids pick them up. They say Emilie couldn’t make it because she had too much homework. Mons offers to swing by, but they end up taking the shoes and leaving. Back inside, Pal and the others talk about their trip to France. Lene follows Mons upstairs and finds him upset. He asks why no one likes you. Lene gives him advice using what Emrik told her earlier. She tries to cheer him up.

Lene says it might be difficult but it won’t be impossible for him to find a partner. Mons learns about the party for Pal and Kikki. Lars and Lene talk about Pal and Kikki later. Lars wants to make nihari this weekend. He explains it’s the Pakistani national dish. In private, Lene checks her phone. Stud wants to see her being stuck from the front and the back. He offers 10,000 NOK in return.

 

MILF Of Norway Review

The fifth episode of MILF of Norway was enjoyable and it had something for everyone. The episode had some genuinely humorous moments, but it still takes the subject matter seriously. Lene is slowly accepting Emrik’s advice and communicating with her followers. Stud is asking for specific photos in exchange for 10,000 NOK.

Lars seems to be developing feelings for Aleksandra or there’s at least something going on there. Mons is struggling to make friends. He purchased expensive shoes for Emilie only to be shunned by her in the end. The biggest issue with the series is HBO’s decision to release these short episodes weekly.

By the time another episode is released, it’s hard to remember everything that happened previously. There’s also a disconnect emotionally because of the lengthy wait. I’d highly recommend waiting for all episodes to be available and watch them in a day or two. Otherwise, the series has been surprisingly enjoyable with some episodes being better than others.

This episode was strong thanks to the overall moodiness around Mons and his struggles. The introduction of Aimen was funny since viewers probably didn’t expect him to be a kid.
