As the opening episode of The MILF of Norway begins, Lene (Mariann Hole) puts on makeup in the bathroom. Then, she returns to the party and dances like crazy. The other attendees look at her. The next day, Lars (Tronda Fausa) asks Lene why she didn’t wake him. He also asks whether Mons (Fridtjof Beer Roland) is up. Lene yells for Mons to get up so he isn’t late for school. She reminds him he needs to buy dress shoes to match his suit. A butt-naked Lars is trying to figure out what’s wrong with the drain. Later, Lene hangs out with Kikki (Henriette Faye Schjoll) and they talk about Mons. Lene explains she can’t get coffee because she has the photo shoot.

Kikki reveals that Pal (John Emil Jorgensrud) subscribes to a woman only who sends him pictures and videos. Lene says it’s probably not that bad and it might just be his horny phase. Kikki worries it’s something gross that she won’t do. She wants Lene to check out the woman and tell her about it. Lene agrees to do it and asks for a link. During the photo shoot, Lene argues with Synne about the size of the steak. Lene tells them to start over with a larger steak before stepping away to make a call. She calls Kikki to say she’s created a profile and logged in. Lene tells her that the woman is a cat. She returns outside where Susanne thinks they should do another photo with the smaller steak. When Tom makes it over, he says Lene’s picture is beautiful.

When speaking to Jon, Tom mentions the acquisition. Then, Tom begins talking about the importance of having a big steak. In private, Jon tells Lene he thought she was busy with the confirmation. It was thoughtless of him to believe it wouldn’t leak. Jon insists it’s nothing before asking if they can do this on Monday. He eventually says they’ve set some conditions about the staff. On Monday, they’ll talk about who they want to keep and not. Lene hopes he’s kidding but he’s not. Jon understands if she doesn’t want to come in tomorrow. Lene is adamant she won’t let this impact Mons. Later at home, Lars tells Lene that her dad wants to say a few things to Mons tomorrow on FaceTime. Lene argues he’s either here or he can forget about it. They watch home video of Mons. Lene tells Lars to change the music because this isn’t a funeral.

Meanwhile, Mons speaks about the rumors regarding the new Air Jordans. Lene interrupts with the shoes. Mons keeps getting interrupted when he tries to record his intro. Kikki sends a picture of her cleavage to Lene to ask if they’re good enough. Lene speaks to Lars about the acquisition and Jon not saying anything. Lars believes the change might be good for her. The next day, Mons speaks to his parents about the cake. Kikki catches up with Lene who learns Pal is parking at the school. Kikki says the worst part about cat lady is that they write long messages to one another. Lene instructs Kikki to send him a boob photo with a cat filter so he’ll get it. Pal arrives seconds later and Jon is behind him. Jon tries to speak to Lene, but she goes inside without saying anything.

During the event, Lene begins drinking. Then, the speeches begin. Kikki asks Lene which boob photo she should send to Pal. Lene believes either will work. Lene’s dad uses FaceTime to speak to Mons. It doesn’t go well because the video ends up freezing. In private, Lars tells Lene to slow down on the wine a bit. Lene gives her speech. She continues drinking. Someone drops the cake. In private, Lene tells Kikki that most of Norway watch porn online so she should get over it. Outside, Lene asks Jon if one of the conditions is that she has to go. He says no, but that was his decision. Lene warns him he’s nothing without her. She gets upset, calls him an eel, and says it’s no wonder he has to live his life alone. Lene decides to quit.

Back inside, she continues drinking while watching the video of Mons. Lene asks Kikki to say so they can drink wine and talk about cat lady. Kikki has to take over the babysitter, but she insists she’s not upset about what happened earlier. Once Kikki and Pal leave, Lene learns Mons is upstairs counting his money. She tells Lars that she and Jon just ended their collaboration. She doesn’t want to talk about it right now though. Lene continues drinking. She tries apologizing to Kikki and takes pictures of her breasts. Lene has a surprise for her. She uploads her breast to the website and immediately receives many likes and comments.

 

MILF Of Norway Review

MILF of Norway is a Max series starring Mariann Hole as Lene. In the opening episode, Lene lost her job due to an acquisition. While drunk, she decided to upload a picture of her breast and a traditional folk costume to InsideFans after learning about the website from her friend Kikki.

Kikki’s partner, Pal, has been spending money on a woman on the website. Lene helped her investigate it and also gave her advice for dealing with it.

It’s hard to say too much just based on the opening episode which was only setting up the core story and introducing the characters. The characters are fairly relatable and the performances are strong enough for a comedy series. While I didn’t really find anything funny, the series is just getting started so there’s plenty of time for laughs.

One issue that will be impossible to ignore is the shaky camera and there’s absolutely no reason for that considering this isn’t an action series. Viewers may want to grab a pack of Dimenhydrinate because motion sickness is a real possibility. It’s a shame that the shaky camera is so terrible because it really hurts everything else about MILF of Norway.

This adds nothing to the series besides increasing the likelihood that viewers will turn it off in a few minutes. Nevertheless, I am somewhat intrigued to see where this goes once Lene finds success on InsideFans. The opening episode scores a 6 out of 10.
