With Mike’s focus on the city, not Iris, it was a fairly good episode. Maybe, the best of the season so far. It looks like their past is about to catch up with them. Definitely better though I cannot get past the ridiculous premise of sending the four ganglords to prison in some scheme to set up a leadership hierarchy within the prison. It’s just too way out there.

Included is the whole Iris thing. She was a high end call girl earning probably thousands. Then escaped. Then left the witness protection program to go back to being not a high end prostitute, but just a regular human trafficking victim, drugged, tagged, and forced to make $4000 a night she doesn’t get to keep. The whole thing doesn’t make much sense. We are tempted just to write her off as a victim of her own stupidity.

I am glad that they didn’t subject us to more of Mariem’s woke lectures. Her candid talks with the juvenile prisoners was good. I wish there had been more of that.

As a side note I realized what a bad actor Taylor Handley actually is. His fake crying at the graveside was just awful and reminded me of when toddlers do the same thing to get their way.

lol! It is getting a little outlandish, isn’t it? As Mike would say, what happens on in the inside happens on the outside. Despite all these eye-rolling moments, it is a decent watch if you don’t expect much and don’t mind bending reality all the way through.

I read your comment to another reader who called you out in a not so polite way about possibly getting a name wrong. It’s obviously a “labor of love” on your part and anyone would have to admire your dedication to it all. It’s just too bad when people leave snarky comments to someone who is providing a service for free. I would waste much time on them. No more than one sentence 😁

    • ReelMockery says:

“Labor of love” is a good way to put it. Advertising revenue was doing well for a few months but really low now with the current economic climate so the return on investment is very, very low lol. If it takes me a few hours to write one of these recaps, I might make a dollar or so an hour sometimes lol.

Half of the time too, I work on this site after many hours of work on a computer so it is a double whammy. If that person would try recapping these shows the same way I do, they’d see how tedious it is though and probably feel differently or not. As long as some people are appreciative, it is worthwhile.
