The upcoming Kid 90 documentary is a time capsule of a group of friends growing up in Hollywood and New York City during the 1990s. Viewers will get an up-close look at how these friends balanced their childhood and fame before the Internet explosion.
The authentic footage comes from Soleil Moon Frye who carried a video camera everywhere she went in the 1990s. During that time, she documented hundreds of hours of footage which has been locked away for more than 20 years.
The film aims to be a coming-of-age story that encourages viewers to look back when they need to find a way forward. Soleil will be joined by some of her lifelong friends and fellow child stars who will provide commentary on growing up during the ‘90s.
Some of these stars include Brian Austin Green, Stephen Dorff, Heather McComb, David Arquette, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Kid 90 is set to debut on Hulu on Friday, March 12.
