Jurassic World Chaos Theory Ben episode 2

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 1 Episode 2 Recap

Rest Stop – As this episode of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory begins, Darius (Paul-Mikel Williams) and Ben (Sean Giambrone) flee the cabin only to see another dinosaur outside. They make it to the truck, but Darius realizes he left the keys in the cabin. They put it in neutral so they can roll to Ben’s van. No dinosaurs chase them while they’re in the van. Ben ends up driving down a steep embankment to get away from the dinosaurs. He believes their experience proves the raptors were sent by someone and they’re being hunted. Darius admits the raptors looked like Atrociraptors, but he doesn’t think there were any released from the Lockwood Estate.episode 1 tv show jurassic world chaos theory

They continue discussing it although they don’t know who might be after them. Darius goes into the back to check out Ben’s theories. He learns about Mantah Corp possibly having a secret underwater laboratory. Darius returns to the front to ask Ben about what he found. Ben believes the only thing that matters is that someone is hunting them. He throws Darius’s phone out of the window when he tries to call Sammy. Ben explains he got a care package from Sammy with a return address and she’ll know where everyone is. They’re heading to Texas. In a flashback, Ben receives a call from an unknown number. As instructed, he looks out the window and sees Brooklynn (Kiersten Kelly). He takes Brooklynn to his favorite spot on campus. They talk about things being normal, but Ben isn’t sure there’s such a thing as normal anymore.

Brooklynn admits it’s hard out there for her. She thinks Dark Jurassic is amazing as well. They agree there’s something on there that seems real every so often. In the present, Ben notices a vehicle behind them just before Darius wakes up. Darius asks him to stop at the rest area but Ben keeps driving. Ben is convinced they’re being followed. When he tries to lose them, Ben almost crashes into a dinosaur. The vehicle ends up speeding around them and leaving. In the morning, they begin running low on gas. Darius eventually convinces Ben to stop for the gas. Once they arrive, they see another Nasutoceratops at the pumps. While Ben tries to get gas, he sees a man on the phone and becomes worried that it’s happening. The man, Mo (Brock Powell), tells Darius he called DPW to come get the dinosaur. They’re getting so many calls and don’t know when they can get out there. Mo recognizes them.

Ben pulls Darius away because he believes Mo called someone about them. Ben admits he’s paranoid, but he says Darius is sticking his head in the sand like he did when Brooklynn died. Darius says he did hide. He’s not hiding now though. Darius trusts Ben so he asks why Ben can’t trust him. The dinosaur wakes up and begins sharpening its horns only to get stuck. Darius says they need to get away immediately. They try to free the dinosaur. Two more arrive and a fire breaks out at the gas station. They manage to prevent a disaster before the dinosaur joins the others nearby. Mo asks how they survived out there. Ben says you have to learn how to not let the fear control you. They had each other out there. Mo gives them free snacks for saving his life and business. They fill it and hit the road. Darius notices a vehicle parked next to the road. It seems to follow their van.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Review

The second episode of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory continued pushing the story forward while introducing new risks for the characters. Darius learned more about Ben’s conspiracy theories and may even begin to accept that someone is hunting them. To warn the others, they’re going to visit Sammy in Texas because she’ll know how to get in touch with the others.

During their journey, they stopped at a gas station and saved it from a dinosaur. In return, the owner, Mo, gave them a bunch of free snacks. As they drove away, it appeared they were being followed by a vehicle. The chase scene at the beginning of the episode was well done. Despite being an animated series, Chaos Theory has heart and keeps Brooklyn as a central figure.

The episodes are short and to the point so that makes the show very easy to watch. There may not be much in terms of innovation, but Chaos Theory is enjoyable in its own right. Most fans of animated series will enjoy their time with the show. This episode scores a 6 out of 10. Recaps of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory can be found on Reel Mockery here.
