Additional cast members have been announced for the upcoming BBC crime thriller, The Jetty, which stars Jenna Coleman. The series is written by Cat Jones and produced by Firebird Pictures for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Coleman is joined by Archie Renaux, Laura Marcus, Bo Bragason, Amelia Bullmore, Tom Glynn-Carney, Weruche Opia, Matthew McNulty, Ralph Ineson, David Ajala, Nina Barker-Francis, Miya Ocego, Elliot Cowan, Shannon Watson, Arthur Hughes, and Dominic Coleman.
In the 4-part series, a fire rips through a holiday home in a Lancashire town. Detective Ember Manning will need to put the pieces together and determine how the fire is connected to a podcast journalist’s recent investigation into a missing persons cold case and a love triangle between a man in his twenties and two underage girls.
As Ember gets closer to the truth, the case becomes a threat to her life leading her to question everything. The Jetty is described as “as much a coming-of-age story as a detective thriller”. The series aims to ask important questions about sexual morality, identity, and memory in the places that the Me Too movement left behind. BAFTA-nominated actress, Jenna Coleman, was last seen in Amazon’s Wilderness in which she played scorned wife Liv Taylor.
