When the finale begins, Julien reports to Blaine (David Anders) that is unable to find the brains. Major Lilywhite (Robert Bucket) is kept in the fridge and refuses to speak. At the morgue, Dr. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) and Liv look over Teresa’s (Bex Taylor Klaus) body. After a chat with Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin), Liv eats Teresa’s brains. Ravi shows Liv that he has created another zombie rat. Ravi tells her that he has a potential cure, but needs to test it on the rat first.
Liv has a vision, before she heads to Clive and tells him Max Rager is responsible for the murders. Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber) hangs out with a new friend and watches Sebastian’s interview. He tells the man about the zombies, before the police arrive. Liv and Clive enter and speak to Vaughn. The conversation turns to Sebastian. They get an alert about Cameron’s (Rhys Ward) phone and leave Max Rager. Blaine speaks to Major again.
Vaughn talks to his new employee and tells him about his plans for making Max Rager safer. Clive and Liv watch a surveillance video of Cameron. Back at the police station, Ravi shows them the murder weapon, pool balls. They are informed about a 911 call from Cameron. They track Cameron’s phone to a junkyard. Blaine brings soup to Major. Of course, he discovers the brains inside, before a body is brought in. Major freaks, when he notices it doesn’t have any brains.
Liv and Clive discover Cameron’s phone, which was inside of a car’s tire. They watch footage and discover Cameron driving away. A few minutes later, Cameron meets with Vaughn’s Assistant (Leanne Lapp). Cameron hands over the thumb drive, once he gets a backpack full of money. She gives him a milkshake and leaves. Outside, Cameron notices police near his vehicle, which blows up. Clive and Liv show up and speak to a homeless man, who was paid to watch the car.
The man tells them about the orange backpack. Meanwhile, Cameron discovers a tracking device in the bag. He attempts to get off of the bus, but is stopped by a cop. With that, Cameron is brought in and interviewed. He insists he wants to be tried as a minor or wants a lawyer, but he mentions the thumb drive. Cameron tells the pair about the thumb drive and how the group fought over it. Clive finds information about Rebecca’s research into Max Rager. On her way out, Liv calls the Seattle Observer and returns to the morgue.
She gets a call from Ravi, who questions about Major. The pair send a message about the brains to Major’s phone. Liv nearly injects the potential cure, before Blaine calls on Major’s phone and tells her to bring the brains. Meanwhile, Major gets ahold of a lighter. Liv meets with Blaine and Julien. They turn over someone, who isn’t Major. Back at the butcher shop, Major attempts to make his escape. He makes it to his vehicle and gets the weapons, before returning. Major kills everyone inside, before Lieutenant Suzuki (Hiro Kanagawa) receives an alert about the shooting.
Julien arrives and gets trapped in the freezer, before Major kills him with the grenade. Blaine stabs Major in the stomach. Liv arrives and shoots Blaine, before asking about Major. Blaine speaks about keeping the zombies fed, which convinces her not to kill him. She hears Major and approaches him. Blaine interrupts and tells him about Liz’s zombie status. Liv stabs Blaine with the zombie cure. After he leaves, Liv scratches Major.
Suzuki arrives and gives the all clear. Liv introduces Major to a zombie’s life at home. The pair speak about their lusts for brain, before Liv insists they can be together now. Of course, Major isn’t satisfied with the idea. At the butcher shop, Suzuki shoots himself, before trying to set the place on fire. Evan Moore (Nick Purcha) arrives outside and sees the mess, before the building explodes. Ravi steps outside and sees the newspaper report about Max Rager. Vaughn’s assistant delivers him the same report.
Clive investigates the building and sees that Suzuki scrawled Blaine on the wall. Clive requests to speak with Major, after seeing Julien’s shoes. Outside of Max Rager, Vaughn insists they’re just getting started. Meanwhile, Blaine is fixed up. Liv injects Major with the cure. She receives a call from her mother, before visiting her bother, who is in the operating room. Her mother suggests Liv should give blood for her brother, but obviously, she cannot.
Review
A decent finale on some points and no so much on others. The whole Max Rager conclusion felt somewhat rushed, but it was fun to see Major go crazy and kill a bunch of people. The whole zombie cure idea is interesting, but we’ll have to wait until next season to see whether or not it worked. Overall not bad and I’ll certainly watch the next season. A 6.5 out of 10 is deserved.
