The episode begins with Liv Moore (Rose McIver) receiving a foot rub from Lowell Tracy (Bradley James). She receives and ignores a call from Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley). She listen to a radio show, Great. Morning. Sex., before heading to the morgue. Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) heads to the police station and attempts to get Major released. He continues to wait, before Peyton Charles (Aly Michalka) enters and displays her credentials. With Peyton’s help, Major is released.
Major insists he still wants to find out what happened to Jerome. Ravi tells him about the Sparrow case and insists Jerome and Eddie have been found. When Ravi returns to the morgue, Liv is still listening to Sasha Arconi (Erica Cerra) on the radio. It sounds like something bizarre happens and Sasha is shown dead. Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) enters and confirms that Sasha has been murdered. Liv and Clive speak to the show’s producer, who confirms Sasha knew that the caller gave Sasha’s license plate number, as the cheater.
She tasks Kaley Taylor (Britt Irvin), with getting the audio from the past shows. The pair inspect the radio station, before Liv returns to the morgue and eats Sasha’ brains. Ravi tells Liv about Peyton. Ravi insists he had a moment with Peyton, before they talk about his rat experiment. They inspect the cages and all of the rat’s brains are missing. Liv confirms Ravi has made a zombie rat, before she captures it and plays with it. Clive enters and tells the group that Cheated on in Chattanooga’s phone was a burner. He also reveals that Sasha was hated by many.
With that, the pair return to the station to speak to Chuck Burd (Aaron Douglas). When they enter Chuck’s studio, he tells his listeners about the fun of banging albino chicks. Clive asks about Sasha doing a show on Chuck’s previous lovers, but he doesn’t seem worried. Liv has a flashback of Sasha being confronted by Chuck’s wife and told to stay away from Chuck. Chuck reveals Oksana (Olena Venidiktova) is a Russian bride and couldn’t have done it. Despite the information, Clive still suggests she could’ve.
At home, Major is ridiculed and left, by his girlfriend. Lieutenant Suzuki (Hiro Kanagawa) visits Blaine and insists he cannot do it anymore. Blaine DeBeers (David Anders) insists he has Suzuki wrapped around his finger and should do exactly what he says. They speak about Liv and Blaine confirms he knows all about her. Meanwhile, Liv continues listening to Sasha’s radio show. She has another flashback of Sasha going berserk on her producer. When interrogated, the producer, Jane, insists she was on good terms with Sasha and provides them with more audio files. Liv returns to the morgue and finds Ravi has created a chain mail glove.
Ravi tells Liv about Major’s breakup. He questions about Peyton and Liv goes off on a long rant about Ravi potentially being hurt. Liv uses Sasha’s instinct and pays a visit to Major. She learns that she ignored his call, when he was in jail. He reveals he has been fired from his job, before telling Liv about Julien. He tells Liv about the brains in Julien’s car. Major insists it isn’t a cow’s brains, but Liv suggests Major is only holding onto the case, in order to hold onto Jerome. Major promises to let it go, but continues his investigation, after she leaves.
Liv pays a visit to Lowell. She begins questioning their relationship and grows worried that they wouldn’t be together, if they weren’t zombies. Lowell quickly blames Sasha’s brains for her concerns. They prepare for sex, but Liv has a flashback and witnesses Sasha making love to Sam (Drew Tanner). Liv returns to Peyton and is questioned about Lowell. Peyton confirms she is currently single. At the morgue, Ravi quickly questions Liv about Peyton.
Despite Peyton’s status, Liv tells him they wouldn’t work. Ravi doesn’t appreciate her advice and tells her about it. Liv hears something on the radio, which sends her to Clive. She plays the radio commercial for him. The producer confirms the woman in the commercial to be Kaley. They pay her a visit, but she insists she was away, at the time of Sasha’s death. Sam arrives and confirms Kaley is his girlfriend. Clive arrests Kaley. During the interrogation, she insists she was only messing with Sasha’s head.
Kaley insists Sasha would’ve blackballed her, if she had confronted her directly and insists she did the same to Sasha’s producer, Jane. She also reveals the commercial was for a bogus company. Meanwhile, Jane holds a radio memorial for Sasha, as she plans to take over the show. Jane answers a few calls and is bashed by the listeners. The police enter and she goes on a rant about Sasha sleeping around on everyone and bashing the listeners. Clive is finally let in and Jane is arrested. Liv discovers Ravi calling Peyton and answers. She passes the phone to Peyton, who doesn’t remember him. Peyton agrees to go on a date with Ravi, who is shown drawing blood from the rat. The rat bites him on the finger. Major purchases a gun, before Liv wakes up with Lowell. At the end of the episode, Liv witnesses Blaine entering the complex and has a flashback of Jerome attempting to escape from Blaine.
Review
Another excellent episode for iZombie. It seems the romance continues to build for everyone except for Major. Liv continues to discover more and more information regarding Blaine. Did Dr. Ravi get turned into a zombie, at the end of the episode? At least that would end one potentially annoying romance. Either way, we’re getting closer to the finale of season one and this episode pushed us a little bit closer. For that, a 7 out of 10 is deserved.
